Newsboy’s top TV tips on the opening day of Doncaster’s St Leger meeting, plus selections for all of Thursday’s five meetings

Newsboy reckons Consent will deliver the goods for Sir Mark Prescott yard in the Park Hill Stakes (3.00) at Doncaster, and he expects Moon Target to help give the in-form trainer a double in the May Hill Stakes (2.25)

CONSENT is fancied to complete a good day for Sir Mark Prescott with a win in the Group 2 Betfred Park Hill Fillies’ Stakes (3.00) at Doncaster today.

Brought along with typical patience by the master of Newmarket’s Heath House Stables, Consent followed a return-to-action score at Newbury in July by taking in the Group 3 Prix Lady O’Reilly at Deauville last month.

Lope De Vega’s daughter stayed on strongly to take second to Indalimos and another personal best is in store now she steps up from a mile and a half to the St Leger distance.

Prescott’s MOON TARGET , second to Precise in the Group 3 Prestige Stakes at Goodwood last time out, should thrive for the chance to take a mile in the Group 2 Betfred May Hill Fillies’ Stakes (2.25).

Owen Burrows’ stable form points to the chances of CALENDAR GIRL in the Weatherbys Scientific £300,000 2-Y-O Stakes (1.50). The opening British Stallion Studs ‘Carrie Red’ EBF Fillies’ Nursery Handicap (1.15) looks a good opportunity for HALF SOVEREIGN , while CASTLE STUART features on an attractive mark in the Oddschecker Handicap (3.35).
