Rapper and YouTuber Yung Filly is set to return to the UK after his lawyer fought to have his bail conditions changed. Filly, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, was charged with rape and other offences over an alleged sexual assault on a woman in the country last year.

In March, he pleaded not guilty to three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, one of strangulation and four counts of sexual penetration without consent. Three months later, it was revealed he faces two new sexual assault charges relating to the assault of a woman while he was on tour in Australia.

According to the court documents, the star faces two new counts of sexual penetration without consent, and no plea has been entered for them.

Barrientos pleaded not guilty to all but two of the charges and remained in Western Australia as part of his bail conditions.

His lawyer had applied to have the rapper’s bail conditions changed earlier this week so that he could return to the UK, with the judge approving the bail condition amendment today.

The judge said the 18 bail conditions minimised the risk of him not showing up for his trial next year. Barrientos will be flying out of Perth on Tuesday to reside at an address in Kent, England.

He has to return to Perth no later than January 7 next year and will have to surrender his passport to the courts. He also has to keep his mobile phone, and its location services, on at all times.

“Of course, your honour,” Barrientos said, understanding the bail conditions. He is not allowed to post about the case on social media and can’t go within 500 metres of two people whose initials were read in court.

The star, who was born in Colombia and moved to London aged two with his mum and sister, began his YouTube career in 2013 before releasing his debut single Take Time in 2017.

He went onto host shows Hot Property and Don’t Scream on BBC Three and has also appeared in Soccer Aid and The Great Stand Up to Cancer Bake Off.

Barrientos’ 10-day trial is set to begin on July 20.
