A five-month-old kitten who has faced heartache is searching for a new home in the UK – and he needs an owner who will show him what it’s like to be loved unconditionally
One little kitten who was used to entertain children in a cruel game of fetch has never been shown what human kindness truly looks like. Poor Harry, who was originally thought to be a girl, is now seeking a home in the UK after being used and abused in his home country of Egypt.
The five-month-old kitten was discovered by rescue workers with small wounds across his body after being used for a “game of fetch.” A statement reads: “Harry was being used as a prop in a game of fetch by some children on the streets of Cairo. He sustained superficial wounds but is recovering well with his rescuer.”
He is currently living alongside other cats and dogs and will be neutered and flown to the UK to be re-homed when he is old enough.
While he cannot travel for at least another two months, the team at Miracle’s Mission hope to secure him a home in the UK beforehand to make his transition as smooth as possible.
However, he has not received much attention online, with only one Facebook user commenting on his rehoming post, saying: “Ahh, beautiful. I think it would help if the animals could also be flown to Manchester, as people from the north of England do not want to drive to London to collect – my worst nightmare.”
Founded in 2015, Miracle’s Mission works to re-home sick, injured and unwanted animals from Egypt and Borneo to the UK, knowing they’d likely die on the streets otherwise.

Harry is just one example of the animals they rehabilitate and rehome elsewhere in the world – all in honour of a one-week-old dog called Miracle.
A statement reads: “Miracle was rescued from the streets of Borneo before her tiny eyes were even open.
“She was found with her siblings in a very remote area, where they were likely abandoned and were very unwell.
“The puppies were full of maggots, with ringworm and blood parasites. Unfortunately, Miracle’s siblings did not make it.
“Miracle was cared for, and she had a very long road of recovery ahead of her.”
They add: “She had several injuries and was very weak, but she made a miraculous recovery and is now strong, happy and healthy, living with her adopted sisters Star and Tess, who were also rescued from Borneo.
“Her aim is to aid in saving many more animals in need around the world.
“Miracle is the namesake of our charity, and her story is similar to many others around the world.
“However, not all of these animals end up being as lucky as she was, finding a loving home where she is spoilt rotten!”
