Cadbury’s selection boxes – a festive favourite among UK households – are now available at a budget supermarket chain for as little as 25p. But you can only buy them in-store.
Those thinking ahead to the festive season can enjoy special savings on Christmas chocolate. A Cadbury product beloved by UK households has hit the shelves of a budget supermarket.
Poundland is currently selling Cadbury’s festive selection boxes at a significant discount. The 25p chocolate boxes are retailing for an exciting £2.50 cheaper than a rival UK supermarket chain.
Already available at some stores in the lead-up to Christmas, the Cadbury’s 25p selection box is a true shopping steal. The box weighs in at 125g and includes a selection of favourite treats.
The contents are a combination of Cadbury’s Dairy Milk Freddo Caramel, Fudge, Crunchie, Dairy Milk Little Bar, Treatsize Buttons and Wispa. An identical selection box is on sale at Iceland’s for £2.50.
Poundland has doubled down early on the festive season, already showcasing its Christmas Food and Drink range. The range includes chocolate, sweets, biscuits, stockings, decorations and jumpers.
The Christmas chocolates are particularly exciting, with a limited-time selection of annual favourites. In addition to the Cadbury selection box, Poundland is also selling selection boxes from KitKat and Haribo.
The only catch is that you will need to visit your local Poundland to secure these bargain purchases, as the supermarket’s website is for browsing only at this point. However, you are able to read up on all the product details on the site.
A statement on the Poundland website reads: “From the 16th September, our website will be for browsing only and Poundland Perks will be closing.” The statement continues: “While we know most of our online shoppers also visit us regularly in stores (thank you!), we know this will be disappointing to all who’ve been using our online ordering service.”
The company emphasises that it is working hard to “simplify and refocus” its stores and plans to release even more ranges at £1 and new items to shop each week. “Unfortunately, we will no longer by providing an online delivery service from the 16th September 2025.”
The company will also be retiring its Perks app but reward vouchers will still be redeemable in-store until January 15, 2026.
The statement concludes: “We’ll miss you shopping on our website, but it will still be here for you so that you can check out our exciting year-round and seasonal product ranges and find all our store locations and opening times. We really look forward to welcoming you to one of our hundreds of stores right across the UK.”
