Pegi has described what she saw when she died during pregnancy complications and had a conversation with God

A woman says she almost died twice and had to argue with God to bring her back to life, and Pegi Robinson says she is now an expert in cheating death. Pegi first almost died when she was just five years old, while swimming in a local pond.

At 25, though, following pregnancy complications, she almost died again and found herself moving through galaxies before floating into a bright white room. While there, she met God and pleaded with him to return – but he wasn’t having any of it and even said that she was a “spoiled child”.

“My eyes scanned the room and stopped at the person sitting up front and centre,” Pegi said. “It was God – and he was ready to hear my complaints. I started screaming at him: ‘Hell no, I won’t go, you can’t make me, I have kids to raise.’

“I told him I couldn’t leave them on Earth without a mother’s love and protection. Then, a scene opened to my left, showing me entering a grocery store. In front of the cash register was a clerk and a boy throwing a fit.

“He was demanding what he wanted, and he wanted it right now. I turned back and looked at God – he was showing me that I was acting like a spoiled child. I knew he used this scene to let me know I needed to humble myself before him. Then, he spoke to me telepathically, in a male authoritative – yet loving – voice.”

God told Pegi, now 64, it was her time. She cried out “abuse” as her voice sped up and the words flew out of her mouth into the ‘clean, white air’.

Pegi says she then tried to reason with God. The mum-of-three said: “What I said felt dirty in this pure place. I concluded, firmly, if he could show me that my kids would be better off without me, for whatever reason, then I’d agree to stay.

“If not, I will beg to return to Earth. As I waited for an answer, I noticed a man standing waiting for me to go with him – it was Jesus. I saw him from behind; his back, white robe and shoulder-length wavy hair.

“As soon as I stood beside him, we dropped down to Earth, above our trailer roof at night. I looked inside and saw my sons discussing the fact that I had died.”

Her youngest, Jeremy, now 44, said to his brother, Matthew, now 45: “I want mum back and I want her back right now”.

His pain was too much for Pegi to bear, and so, she decided to return to the waiting room of Heaven. She said: “I sobbed at Jesus’ feet, with God sitting beside him. It’s my fault I had died; I took a chance, and so I chose to stay.

“I would wait right there for my sons to join me someday. Just as I started to relax, I asked God: ‘Who will teach them about you?’

“Suddenly, I was back in the hospital.”

Pegi, at age 25, was two months pregnant with twins at the time. She had reported pelvic pain, but was reassured that it wasn’t an ectopic pregnancy. But within a few days, she was unable to walk because the pain was so severe – and then she started bleeding heavily.

Rushed to the hospital, Pegi was placed into a wheelchair and taken down a lon

g hallway to find a room. As she tried to lift her fingers, something jolted, and her body had become disconnected from her mind.

Pegi said: “I had lost contact with my body. I couldn’t tell it what to do. I felt like I was going to pass out, and then my chin hit my chest. Suddenly, I shot up like a rocket through space. I was terrified; I knew I had just died.”

Pegi describes the journey to Heaven like a “bumpy roller coaster ride with no way off”.

The feeling in her body slowly came back, and she was eager to tell the nurses what had happened – though knew they wouldn’t believe her. A later scan confirmed Pegi had suffered internal bleeding, which had filled her entire abdominal cavity up to her chest, due to having a tubal pregnancy.

Her family were called to say their goodbyes as it was likely she wasn’t going to make it. Despite losing both babies, she survived and now shares her near-death experience to show people that there’s “no such thing as dying”.

She added: “God gives us memories to educate us. These are stored in our souls and are unforgettable. The older and wiser we get, the more we’re able to process them. It’s a gift that keeps giving the more they’re unwrapped.

“I’ve learned that we’re never alone. We just have to learn how to listen. God can show you a scene from your future that never has to happen, he can slow down or speed up time. It’s what we need at that time to understand how we were loved and protected by him.

“I am filled with gratitude every day of my life for God allowing me to come back and raise my boys.”
