Hair loss is a big worry for many people, and there are numerous factors that can lead to it, from male and female pattern baldness, stress, weight loss, and even menopause. But shoppers seeking a boost for their tresses have been singing the praises of a product that one person claimed left them ‘so impressed’.

We fuss over our hair daily, from brushing and washing to conditioning and styling, so it’s fair to say we’re quite fond of our locks. According to the NHS, it’s normal to shed between 50 and 100 strands a day without even noticing.

However, for those worried about the amount of hair they’re losing, a supplement like Dr Vegan’s Hair Saviour could be a smart addition to their daily routine. The plant-based, 100% vegan tablet has been crafted by nutritionists using clinically studied components.

It boasts 14 key ingredients such as MSM, AnaGain, Saw Palmetto, Silica, Alfalfa, Zinc and Biotin Saw Palmetto. Dr Vegan claims that AnaGain, a “clinically proven ingredient” derived from nutrient-rich pea sprouts, supports hair growth and promotes fuller, thicker hair.

A clinical study of AnaGain cited by Dr Vegan revealed that the ratio of healthy, active hair follicles to degenerating ones improved from 4.0 to 7.2, equating to a 78% increase in the propensity for hair growth.

The Dr Vegan Hair Saviour tablets are now available on their website with a discount code

Hair Saviour® was created by nutritionists who used clinically studied ingredients to support hair growth, strength, and volume, including ingredients like AnaGain which has been shown to restore hair and bring it back to life.

For a discount, shoppers can use the code HAIR25, which expires on 31/12/2025 11:59pm BST. The cost of a one-time purchase is £25.99, but using the code, takes the price down to £19.50 – that works out at 65p per day.

Shoppers can also get an extra 25% off a subscription with the code SAVIOUR25 saving up to 45% if they sign up to a 3 month supply.

The brand advises customers to take two capsules consistently each day, and also warns it is “not suitable if you’ve had or at risk of oestrogen positive breast cancer.” They add: “If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking any medications or under medical supervision, please consult a doctor or healthcare practitioner before use.”

Dr Vegan says, regarding hair thinning, that within four weeks of taking Hair Saviour, customers may begin to see a reduction in hair loss and thinning by up to a third. They say after 12 weeks hair may appear fuller and thicker too, with skin and nail improvement also possible.

Elsewhere, Boots is selling Vitabiotics Perfectil Plus Hair – 60 Tablets – for £20. These tablets contain specific nutrients that help maintain normal hair, skin and nails, including biotin, selenium and zinc.

On LookFantastic, shoppers can find Hair Gain Capsules – 60 Capsules – for £36.99. This one-month supply of haircare food supplements are suitable for vegetarians and vegans, and contain zinc and biotin. A combination of AnaGain with hair vitamins and minerals also work to support healthy-looking hair.

On the Dr Vegan website, Hair Saviour has rating of more than four stars out of five. One Hair Saviour customer, Lisa, has seen fantastic results: “I’ve only been taking it for 5 weeks and I can see a difference already. My hair is in much better condition, my nails have grown, my eyebrows have grown as have my eyelashes. I am so impressed.”

Another customer, James, who admits he was sceptical at first, said: “But after three months, I really noticed an improvement in thickness and general appearance. I have been taking it for well over a year now and would definitely recommend.”

Though some have failed to notice much of a difference. One customer noted: “This has made my wife’s hair much softer but as yet she has not seen any new hair growth.” Another chimed in: “I’ve used it for 3 weeks now. Not seeing a difference but hoping to see an improvement after 5-6 weeks.”

After a ‘hair catastrophe’, a customer named Emma shared: “I had a hair disaster in 2020/21 when I decided to go blonde. I never thought I would ever get my hair back to good condition. I started Hair Saviour at the end of January and within a month, my hair felt different. Soft, shiny hair was making a return, my hairdresser couldn’t believe how much it had grown between appointments. I am so thrilled to have healthy, happy hair again, and at 53 years old.”

Shoppers can explore Dr Vegan’s Hair Saviour on the website and use the code HAIR25 for a discount.
