Home Bargains shoppers are eager to pay a visit to their local store after spotting an extensive line-up of Halloween-themed snacks, sweet treats and other festive goodies. Halloween is just around the corner, with many shops and companies offering a variety of products to suit the season.

The annual event, which falls on October 31, is celebrated all over the world, with traditions including trick-or-treating in spooky costumes, scary parties, haunted house tours, watching horror films and much more. It’s a famed and beloved event, known for its close connection with the supernatural and all things creepy.

Like many of its high street competitors, Home Bargains has kitted shelves out with a wide array of themed products. Many shoppers have taken to social media to highlight the litany of items on offer in the budget friendly store.

On TikTok, several people have shared videos of their finds. In one clip, a chocolate log with orange sprinkles was spotted, as well as ‘spooky’ Oreos with orange cream, pumpkin gingerbread cookies complete with decorating tools, McVitie’s ‘Jaffaween’ cake bars, Mr Kipling chocolate and orange slices, a buildable chocolate haunted house, multipacks of sweets and more.

The video was captioned: “OMG LOOK NEW HALLOWEEN COLLECTION IN HOME BARGAINS”.

Another similar video began with narration which simply stated: “Spooky sweets and snacks at Home Bargains.” The 21 second video highlighted similar products, showing shoppers’ excitement over the festive food being stocked.

On Instagram, Home Bargains was keen to showcase its new ‘Peelerz’ gummy sweets, posting a video to its official account.

In the short clip, different flavours of the sweets can be seen in store, including orange and assorted. The bags come in 65g packets and cost 99p each.

In the caption accompanying the footage, Home Bargains penned: “New Treat Alert! Our Halloween Peelerz Gummies have dropped — spooky, chewy, and scarily delicious!”

In the comments section, fellow Instagram users were keen to share their thoughts. One person said: “I need these I love the original ones [as well].”

Another sad: “Oooohhh yesss bring on the treats,” while a third simply commented: “Love.”

And another fan added: “Kids will love these.”

It’s not just Halloween-themed food the retailer is stocking – there’s also children’s costumes, candles, ornaments and trinkets, plus much more.

Home Bargains is a beloved staple on the British high street. It’s known for its budget-friendly products which cover a range of shoppers’ needs from home accessories and decor to food, cleaning essentials, baby supplies, beauty products, DIY, garden items and more.

It was founded in 1976 by Tom Morris in Liverpool, when he was just 21-years-old.

Initially, the single store was named Home and Bargain before being changed to Home Bargains in 1995. Throughout Merseyside, it’s still colloquially known by its original name, which can cause confusion among visitors and tourists who aren’t aware of the backstory.
