Met Office’s warning for thousands of motorists
Thousands of drivers taking to the motorway this evening have been warned to take precautions bu the Met Office as weather conditions get dicey on the road.
In its yellow warning for the Midlands and northern England, which includes the affected stretch of the M62, the Met Office has urged people to check conditions before they go out.
The agency warned: “Give yourself the best chance of avoiding delays by checking road conditions if driving, or bus and train timetables, amending your travel plans if necessary.”
