‘I opened Lush’s 2025 advent calendar and it’s the best I’ve seen in 4 years’

By staff21 September 2025No Comments4 Mins Read

With ten exclusive products this calendar has something for everyone

I’m a fragrance expert who is obsessed with Lush. For the last four years I’ve been lucky enough to get my hands on the cult classic advent calendar and this year I’m more excited than ever.

Every year there’s an exclusive perfume and this year’s is a take on a Lush perfume I’ve been wearing for over a decade. The Lush advent calendar is expensive at £205 although it can be snapped up for less if you’ve got a previous year’s box with the ‘refill’ option. The contents in the refill and the original are different, so Snow Fairy lovers might want to snap up the £179 refill instead.

That said, I do prefer this year’s box, the artwork was created by Shruti Gadhvi and features a vibrant teal colour that I can’t get enough of. It’s covered in positive words, like love, warmth and relaxed, alongside floral designs.

There are a lot of advent calendars that prioritise self-care, with The Body Shop’s Classic Beauty Advent Calendar (£60) being a great example. Although that one contains more shower gels, hand creams and body butters rather than products that improve the relaxation of a bath.

The Sephora Favourites Calendar has a little more variety with multiple candles, face masks and even a few Sol de Janeiro products. At £225 it is quite expensive but could be a good option for those looking to indulge.

There are 10 exclusive items in this year’s calendar.

Pros

  • Beautiful box that can be reused for future calendars or home storage
  • A gift everyday in the lead up to Christmas, including Christmas day
  • 10 exclusive gifts that can’t be bought elsewhere

Cons

  • At £205 it is quite expensive
  • There’s a wide variety of scents – some people won’t like all of them
  • Many products are bath related so it’s not a great option for those with only a shower

There’s a huge variety of products inside, including a shower gel of Sticky Dates. This is probably my favourite scent they do, with the body spray getting so many compliments that at least three of my friends went out and bought a bottle themselves. The chocolatey Yule Log soap also looks like it’s going to be a hit.

I was really excited for Vanillary Oudh as someone who has been reaching for the original Vanillary in solid form for over a decade. I will say that I probably prefer the original as oud isn’t a note I typically gravitate towards but this advent exclusive is a great wintery twist on the classic.

Every year I look forward to the Candy Cane reusable bubble bar, to me it smells just like Christmas and it really does last for quite a few baths. I’m partial to any sweet mint iteration, with mint chocolate chip being my favourite ice cream flavour, so I was also thrilled by the After Dinner Mint lip scrub. I know I’m not the only one who feels her face drying out as winter hits with the drastic temperature changes every time I leave the house.

Yog Nog is the Christmas scent I look forward to every year so I’m very excited to see it make an appearance as an exclusive body lotion. It’s a beautiful blend of sweet caramel with spices. As someone who basically counts down to the launch of pumpkin spice season and loves every cinnamon snack, it makes it a hit with me.

Although I’ve had a peek inside the calendar already I can’t wait for December to start a month full of pampering.

Inside the Lush advent calendar shoppers can find:

  • Star Of Wonder bath bomb
  • Ice Carousel bubble bar – Exclusive to gift
  • Reindeer bath bomb
