The Beatles biopic star Harris Dickinson who fans will see play John Lennon in the highly anticipated movies has lashed out at a fellow Hollywood star branding them a ‘w*****’
Harris Dickinson has slammed one of his Hollywood peers as a “middle class w*****” in a rant about how he treated him on set.
The up and coming star is set to appear as music icon John Lennon in the upcoming four-part movie anthology based on The Beatles. His co-stars include Irish Oscar-nominated actor Paul Mescal who will play Sir Paul McCartney, fellow Irish Oscar-nominee Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, and Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn playing the late George Harrison.
The actor will be drawing on his experience growing up in a working class British family in east London to embody John’s character. However, his humble roots haven’t always been a positive for his co-stars with him accusing another actor he worked with previously of using his origins to humiliate him.

Speaking in a previous interview Harris slammed the star as “a w**ker, middle to upper class,” and claimed that they used a string of social class cliches to describe him when they were playing a game that involved pretending to be someone on set, with co-workers tasked with asking a series of questions to enable them to guess who it was.
Asked “what food are you?” they replied fish ’n’ chips, and when questioned “what TV show are you?” they quipped that they would be Love Island.
In a new interview with The Times, his old comments were revisited when Harris was informed his fans have been trying to work out the identity of the actor by going through his credits on IMBD.
Harris refused to directly name the actor he was referring to, however, as he read through comments from Times readers, with many suggesting it was Ralph Fiennes, he dropped hints to the contrary.
He said, “No, it’s not Ralph. Ralph’s a sweetheart,” praising his co-star from 2021 hit movie The King’s Man. But, when the suggestion that it could be his 2019 Maleficent: Mistress of Evil co-star Robert Lindsay came up, he appeared to confirm the suspicion.
He said, “F***! I’ve been caught!” but did not give away any further details on what had happened between them or clarify if he was joking. The Mirror has approached representatives for Robert Lindsay for comment on this story.
The Beatles project was announced earlier this year and will see all four movies released in the same month, with each telling the story of the band from the individual member’s perspective.
Filmmaker Sam Mendes is slated to direct at least one of the biopics and appeared at CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas where he introduced them to the stage.
He also stated that Sony boss Tom Rothman has called the films “the first bingeable theatrical experience,” with a preliminary release date planned as April 2028.
Sam said, “We’re not just making one film about the Beatles — we’re making four. Perhaps this is a chance to understand them a little more deeply. The Beatles changed my understanding of music. I’ve been trying to make a movie about them for years.”
Harris is already becoming a big name in Hollywood, having recently co-starred alongside Nicole Kidman in the erotic thriller Babygirl, as well as wrestling drama The Iron Claw, starring Jeremy Allen White and Zac efron, and the movie adaptation of best-selling novel Where The Crawdads Sing.
