Tesco has unveiled its Christmas range for 2025, with over 260 new products hitting the shelves, including a Tesco Finest dish that you need to look out for
A friend recently informed me that we’ve officially ticked past the 100 day countdown to Christmas. Honestly, I won’t be immersing myself in the festive season until after Guy Fawkes Night, at the very least.
However, supermarkets have wholeheartedly embraced the Christmas spirit, offering a select few an early peek at their Christmas offerings. Tesco, along with its clothing brand F&F, and homeware brand F&F home, attempted to inject a bit of cheer into our lives back in September.
This year, over 260 new products are gracing Tesco’s shelves for the festive season, expanding their Tesco Finest and core ranges, with items at all price points to suit every shopping list, reports the Express. It’s fantastic to see the Tesco Finest range bringing a sense – and flavour – of luxury to dinner tables without necessitating a splurge.
I was lucky enough to participate in the At Home with Tesco: A Tasting Experience led by Tesco’s Executive Chef Jamie Robinson to experience Christmas classics like never before. This year, hosting and entertaining is on the cards, and I’m not just referring to the traditional Christmas trimmings.
Chef Jamie has shared some top tips on how to make your Christmas leftovers go further, with a global twist. Got leftover turkey? Why not try turkey curry samosas. Not keen on mum’s red cabbage? Whip up a miso cabbage tarte tatin. Can’t stand boiled brussels sprouts? Create a sprout sauerkraut for canape toppings. It’s as easy as that.
Christmas is all about sharing and caring with your nearest and dearest, even if some family members don’t pull their weight. If you’re tired of the same old festive flavours, Tesco is urging you to think outside the box.
With a selection of both frozen and chilled party food, as well as an extensive range of cheese, antipasti and olives, Tesco aims to make hosting easier so customers can spend more time celebrating with loved ones.
For those who love cheese, keep an eye out for the Tesco Finest Ultimate Cheeseboard Bake (£5), which combines vintage Red Fox, vintage cheddar and creamy brie – it’s a cheese lover’s dream. Another cheese dish that caught my eye but I didn’t get to sample was the Tesco Finest Chef’s Collection Winslade Baking Cheese with Fig & Damsons (price TBC).
One dish that piqued my interest was the Tesco Finest 2 Black Garlic & Truffle Camembert Melts (£3.50), a delightful blend of potato, black garlic puree and truffle oil, crowned with Camembert cheese. It’s somewhat akin to a cheese-laden fish cake.
Personally, I enjoyed the flavour, but be ready for the robustness of the garlic, potatoes and pretzel crumb. The standout item at Tesco’s showcase might catch some off guard.
We’re all aware that hot honey is currently in vogue, much like matcha once was. So, Tesco has harnessed this trend inspiration to launch the Tesco Finest Smoked Salmon with a Hot Honey Glaze (£5.75). If you’re partial to smoked salmon, this offers the perfect harmony of smokiness, tang from the lime, heat from the chilli, and sweetness from the honey. It ticks every box.
Tesco is also spoiling us with an array of sweet indulgences. I can’t recall ever seeing so many sugary delights in one place for Christmas.
The supermarket is giving traditional Christmas desserts a fresh twist, most notably with its Tesco Finest Gifting Nocciolato Panettone, which comes in a stylish Italian-inspired tin. If you’re a fan of sticky toffee pudding, Tesco has ingeniously combined the classic British dessert with a panettone and Christmas pudding (£8.50) allowing you to savour all the seasonal flavours in one mouthful.
Personally, I’d keep a lookout for the Tesco Finest Free From Honeycomb Bauble and Tesco Finest Chocolate & Honeycomb Choux Wreath.
Tesco has kicked off the festive season early this year, bringing a ray of hope amidst the dreary British weather and the chaos of a Tube network shutdown.
The supermarket is proving that luxury can be affordable, particularly in these times of soaring living costs. Christmas should be a time of joy, not dread. Tesco is reigniting my excitement for the holiday season, and I’m eager to try more of their offerings.
There are various launch dates for all the products across the four brands, with the earliest set to hit the shelves in just a fortnight. Products will be rolled out both in-store and online over the coming months.
