Aldi now selling popular 22p mince pies – but is it is too early?

By staff24 September 2025No Comments4 Mins Read

The thought of Christmas already may send some people into a panic, but Aldi have embraced Christmas early this year and have already launched a whole range of mince pies

As the weather changes and the colder months draw in, we are finally waving goodbye to summer – but is it still too early to be thinking about Christmas?

While some people don’t want to think about their festive plans and celebrations until December 1, some get in the spirit much earlier and now Aldi are helping for those already wanting to feel Christmassy.

Christmas has arrived early at the bargain supermarket, as a range of mince pies are now availble in stores nationwide with a line up of brand new mince pie flavours, including the Specially Selected Mini Mince Pies in pistachio and whisky flavours.

The range is seriously affordable as well, with each pie costing just 22p each. Specially Selected The Ultimate Mini Mince Pie Selection (£2.99, 9 pack) allows shoppers to indulge and share the festive spirit with a choice of three tempting mini flavours — Pistachio & Whisky, Frangipane, and Chocolate & Hazelnut.

There are also other mouthwatering options available too, as the Specially Selected The Ultimate Mince Pies (£2.59, 2 pack) are back by popular demand and also promising to be better than ever are the Specially Selected All Butter Mince Pies (£2.49, 6 pack).

The range also branches out for those with dietary considerations, as Aldi has announced the new Free From Mince Pies (£1.89, 4 pack). These sweet, gluten-free alternatives feature shortcrust pastry cases filled with mincemeat, topped with a pastry lid and a light dusting of sugar.

But for those who like to simply keep it classic, there are also the cult favourite – Perfect Christmas Deep Filled Mince Pies (£1.29, 6 pack) – which mean they are just 22p per pie.

However if you aren’t able to think about Christmas until Halloween has passed, Aldi has announced its latest run of Specialbuy items including an alternative that shoppers can’t wait to get their hands on. Spooky season is already in full swing at the budget retailer, as they offer up a host of autumnal items perfect for any home. Chief among them is a £4.99 product that customers have seen elsewhere in years gone by.

The item in question is a pumpkin cushion that’s ideal for sprucing up the sofa in the run up to Halloween. It comes in three varieties, but its checked version is the one that’s caught the eye of customers.

Aldi is also offering up adorable ghost cushions for the same price, as well as a £7.99 decorative wreath and £6.99 LED Autumn Gonk. For the extra creative shopper, a £3.99 craft kit will be on sale in the coming days.

The wreaths come in pumpkin, orange or acorn varieties, while the craft kit has three variations. Shoppers can pick from a crochet pumpkin, a crochet toadstool, a macrame ghost or macrame pumpkin. The gonk comes in red, orange or green. It includes batteries to power up an adorable light-up LED nose.

Excited TikTok users expressed their enthusiasm for the new range, which is available in Aldi stores from Sunday, September 14. One wrote: “Oh my god, the checkered pumpkin is just like the one Asda did last year! I need.”

Another said: “The way I’m going to run for this” while a third agreed, saying: “About to RUN to Aldi.”

Some shoppers plan to queue up early to get their hands on the range, which also extends to £2.99 themed mugs, including ghost, pumpkin and mushroom designs. Aldi is also offering £5.99 treat jars with the same themes.
