Simple way to find out how much your old toys and games could be worth

By staff25 September 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

Vintage Cash Cow can help you turn those abandoned toys and games in your attic into cash and it won’t cost you a penny – they even cover the postage costs

Yes, we all know that one friend who was adamant that they’d keep their Beanie Babies’ tags in the hope that one day it would make them some cash.

Whether you’ve kept a vintage Barbie doll that’s been passed down through generations, or you’ve got a games console you never play with anymore but can’t quite bring yourself to throw away, there are plenty of old toys and games that might be sitting in your attic gathering dust, when you could actually be getting some money for them.

Vintage Cash Cow offers an easy way to sell your old items in one go. Simply pop your items in a box, send it to the experts (they even cover the postage) and they’ll offer the amount of money they think your items are worth. If you like the offer, they send you the money, and if you’re not happy, they send you everything back for free. Simple, stress-free, and no auctions or faffing around involved.

So, how do you know if what you’ve got could be worth some money?

The experts at Vintage Cash Cow have said that when it comes to old toys, there are plenty of beloved items that can be worth something. They’d know; they boast over 250 years of combined experience, ensuring they handle each item with care and knowledge. In fact, they’ve paid out over £60million to customers so far with four in five offers being accepted, not to mention they boast an ‘Excellent’ rating on TrustPilot.

Some toys you may want to keep an eye out for include vintage Star Wars figures, vintage Lego Sets, toys from iconic brands, Barbie dolls, Action Man and Sindy Dolls, Corgi, Dinky & Matchbox Cars and even Pokémon Cards, as they can be popular with collectors!

While you may think your toy needs to be absolutely pristine to be worth something, that’s also not the case; if a toy has a missing part or is a bit scruffy (because let’s face it, most of us gave in and took our Beanie Babies EVERYWHERE), some collectors are still happy to restore items themselves, especially if they’re rare. However, leave it to the experts; if you clean or repaint a toy yourself, you could actually devalue it accidentally.

Keep an eye out for first editions, limited run items or promotional items, even toys with quirky productions; the rarer the item, the more it’s likely to be worth some decent cash.
