Lidl announces popular wooden toy sale return date ahead of Christmas

By staff25 September 2025No Comments5 Mins Read

The discount supermarket will be stocking its shelves within a matter of weeks

Lidl has announced that a major sale is coming back, sure to excite anyone looking to get a head start on their Christmas shopping. The popular event will be available at all stores within a matter of weeks.

The supermarket confirmed that its Wooden Toy deal would return across the UK on Thursday, October 9. Gift-givers looking to get ahead on Christmas are likely to be thrilled to get their hands on some of the range, which includes more than 30 different types of toys in a variety of different styles that cannot be bought anywhere else.

For budding chefs-to-be whisking up their festive feasts, the Wooden Play Kitchen (£44.99 with Lidl Plus, £49.99 without) is an option for little cooking enthusiasts without the price tag. The “new and improved” full-spec toy consists of a play oven, light-up hobs, a microwave, fridge-freezer, and sink, as well as a range of tools and utensils.

Those keen on cuisine can also get the Wooden 2-in-1 Tabletop Grill or Bakery and Café (£16.19 with Lidl Plus, £17.99 without). Paired with the Wooden Food Play Sets (from £4.99) and the Wooden Supermarket Accessories (£7.19 with Lidl Plus, £8.99 without), Lidl says: “Kids will be ready to tackle a day of cheffing, without baking a mess”.

To keep kids from climbing up the walls, the sturdy Wooden Balance Board (£23.99 with Lidl Plus, £29.99 without) and Wooden Balance Beam (£17.99 with Lidl Plus, £19.99 without) can help little ones “reach new heights”. Or for those looking for something more instrumental for their little ‘treble makers’, the Hape Baby Musical Instruments come in a “groovy” guitar or a classic keyboard at £11.69 with Lidl Plus (£12.99 without).

With more cooler weather ahead, the Wooden Puzzle (£1.79 with Lidl Plus, £1.99 without) and Wooden Play Set available as a Farmhouse, Fire Station or Stable (£9.59 with Lidl Plus, £11.99 without) are “perfect for providing hours of indoor fun”, Lidl says. And to go full steam ahead into play, the Wooden Railway Set comes in three themes for just £6.39 with Lidl Plus (£7.99 without).

Shoppers can pick up other items from £1.99 – including jigsaws, railway tracks, play sets and more. The toys can all benefit from further discounts of up to 20% off if shoppers scan their Lidl Plus app at the checkout.

What is Lidl’s Wooden Toy sale in 2025?
