‘Amazing and loving’ teenage son shot dead outside Wembley Stadium

By staff26 September 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

Tyrece Balcha, 18, was gunned down outside a bar near Wembley Stadium and tragically died in hospital four days later – with police having arrested and charged Adem Altindal, 32, with murder

A 32-year-old man has been charged with murder after a teenager was shot dead outside Wembley Stadium – with his heartbroken family paying tribute to thier “amazing” and “hardworking” son.

Tyrece Balcha, 18, was gunned down outside a bar in the early hours of Sunday, September 21, where Met Police officers arrived to find him with a gunshot injury. The teenager was rushed to hospital where he sadly died four days later. Tyrece, from Hillingdon, was described by his family as a “kind, loving, funny, and hardworking” son, brother and grandchild. They said his “spirit will live on” through organ donation.

On Thursday, police arrested and charged Adem Altindal, 32, of Wood Green, with murder. He was due to appear at Haringey Magistrates’ Court on Friday, September 26. Two other men, Rafael Reveane Rodriguez, 39, and Dennis Gambrah, 32, were charged with attempted murder. Seven more people have been arrested in connection with the investigation – including two women in their 20s, a man in his 30s, and a further four men, aged in their 20s and 30s.

In a statement, Tyrece’s family said: “We are devastated that our amazing son, brother, and grandchild who was kind, loving, funny, and hardworking has been senselessly taken from us. We are grieving for his life that has been cut short but through his selfless gift as a donor, his spirit will live on. He will be deeply missed.”

Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams, who leads policing in Wembley, said: “We recognise the concern and alarm this incident has caused within the community – particularly as it happened at a busy event.

“We’d like to reassure the public that their safety is of the utmost importance. We have increased patrols in the area, and you will see a continued police presence over the next few days. If you have any information about this incident, however small it may seem, please get in touch and let us know.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or online, quoting CAD 1343/21SEP, or visit the Major Incident Police Portal (MIPP). Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
