Team Europe’s Shane Lowry was involved in a heated exchange with a fan at the Ryder Cup and had them removed from the course as the Irishman’s frustrations boiled over in New York
A furious Shane Lowry had a disruptive spectator ejected from the Ryder Cup before unleashing his own expletive-filled tirade. The Irish star turned the air blue as he targeted a heckler, with multiple reports confirming a patron had been thrown out of Bethpage Black.
A shocking report from Sky Sports branded the conduct from home supporters as “nasty” with Europe’s leading players, including Rory McIlroy, subjected to vile abuse on holes from the near side of the road.
Lowry and McIlroy have been willing to give as good as they get but one remark proved too much for the 2019 Open champion and he instructed security to remove one fan.

Six-time Major champion Nick Faldo has been left fuming and has demanded Ryder Cup officials intervene, reports the Daily Record.
Europe are supported by a substantial travelling contingent but those donning red seem determined to inflict harm from the margins, with their players looking incapable of mounting a challenge on the course.
Sky Sports’ Jamie Weir, reporting live from the venue, said: “Shane Lowry has just had to get fan evicted as well.
“I was having a conversation with Nikolai Hojgaard whilst walking a couple of holes earlier. And he was saying, you know, from a player’s point of view, it is so difficult to gee yourself up off negative energy.
“You know, in Europe, we tend to cheer our players on and encourage them, and you can feed off that positive energy.
“But over here, when the fans are more focused on abusing the European players than actually encouraging the US players, that creates a negative atmosphere and negative energy.
“And as a player, that’s very, very difficult to feed off.
“I thought it was an interesting comment from Nikolai Hojgaard. So it can get some pretty nasty out there, but at the moment, the US fans don’t have too much to cheer about, do they?”
McIlroy’s incident earlier in the day saw him clash with a US fan, who shouted “FREEDOM” just before he was about to swing.
The Northern Irishman stopped and responded with: “Guys, shut the f*** up!”
He later made clear he only responded as such due to the timing of the chant.
