Mystery as giant ‘hairy’ object smashes into farm after falling from sky

By staff29 September 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

Public officials are left scratching their heads as they try to figure out what exactly this mysterious object is that landed from the sky and where on earth it came from

An unusual object has left experts scratching their heads after it plunged from the sky and landed on a farm.

The large carbon fibre cylinder, measuring around 5.6 feet (1.7 m) in length and 3.9 feet (1.2 m) in diameter, was found on the land in Puerto Tirol, in northern Argentina. The mystery cylinder had a valve system at one end and a 40 cm hole at the other, along with a serial number inscribed onto it.

Although, what made it all the more mind-boggling was the fact it was covered in strange black fibres that looked like hair. The furry item launched out of the sky at around 6.30pm on September 25.

Local authorities were informed by the 47-year-old landowner, Ramón Ricardo González, shortly after the incident, and both local police and the fire brigade were sent out to inspect the cylinder. To ensure the object wasn’t explosive, bomb experts also arrived on the scene.

It was quickly confirmed that the mystery object did not harbour any type of combustible or hazardous materials. Although, officials are still left scratching their heads as to what it actually is.

With this in mind, they have created a 100-foot security perimeter around the furry object as they continue to investigate the incident. A possibility that still remains is that it is in fact space junk, potentially from a recent SpaceX mission, but the search for answers continues.

A stargazer online said it could be a composite overwrapped pressure vessel belonging to a spaceship, humorously suggesting, “No danger to anyone. Except if it landed on you,” the Daily Star writes.

The news comes as another unexplainable incident saw a woman capture the moment a fireball allegedly fell from the sky in London on Saturday, September 27. The flaming object was seen around 7am flying over Croydon, as the local was leaving her house to go to work.

Sarah has spotted a bright light in the sky and decided to video the moment as evidence. She recalled: “After doing the maximum zoom from my phone and seeing it myself, it for sure looks like a fireball falling down.”

“I thought maybe a hot air balloon or something at first, but after I saw some articles about an asteroid falling down to the moon, I thought maybe it is that.” There is still no confirmation of what it was Sarah actually saw that morning, and the mystery remains unsolved.
