A man has appeared in court after being charged with the murder of his dad, mum and brother.
Robert O’Connor, 31, of Drumgowna, Louth Village, was charged with the murder of his dad Mark, 54, his mum Louise, 56, and brother Evan, 27, on Monday, September 29 at their home in the village. Their bodies were discovered at about 10am on Monday.
Robert appeared before Judge Stephanie Coggans at a special sitting of Drogheda District Court on Tuesday evening, charged with three counts of murder. Garda (Irish Police) Sane O’Malley of Drogheda Garda Station gave evidence of arresting, charging and cautioning Robert on three counts of murder.
He went on to say Robert was arrested at 4:43pm at Drogheda Garda Station for three counts of murder. He cautioned the accused who made ‘no reply’ after caution, reports the Irish Mirror.
