Amazon shoppers have been rushing to get their hands on a Fire TV Stick for less than £5 ahead of Prime Day. The retail giant is gearing up for the latest Prime Big Deal Days sale on October 7-8, but there’s already some big discounts up for grabs with a simple deal stack.

The Amazon Fire TV Stick HD is now 50% off at £19.99 in an early Prime Day deal, but shoppers who create a free TopCashback account will receive a £15 sign-up bonus when they join. This also comes with cashback on an Amazon order, effectively bringing the price down to £4.55 and saving roughly 88% compared to the original £39.99 price tag.

It’s worth noting that the deal is only available for new TopCashback members, while existing members can expect to pay £19.55 after cashback. A similar offer is up for grabs on the higher-end Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K, which works out at £10.42 after cashback for new TopCashback members or £26.42 for existing members.

While TopCashback’s £15 bonus offer is ongoing, Amazon has confirmed its Fire TV Stick deals will expire at 11.59pm on October 14. Both the Fire TV Stick HD and Fire TV Stick 4K are the latest generation of the popular streaming devices, offering easy access to countless films and TV series on apps like Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+.

The major difference between each version is the image and sound quality. The HD model delivers a 1080p Full HD picture with Dolby-encoded audio, while the 4K model offers 4K Ultra HD and support for Dolby Atmos.

TopCashback is giving away a £15 sign-up bonus to new members, plus cashback when shopping with retailers like Amazon, Argos and Ninja.

The latter also enables smoother streaming thanks to Wi-Fi 6 support. However, buyers should note that they will need subscriptions to enjoy streaming apps, including Prime Video, Disney+ and Apple TV+.

Combining the Amazon and TopCashback deals gives shoppers a more affordable alternative to buying the Fire TV Stick from rival retailers, including Argos and Currys, where the HD model is also down to £19.99. Here’s how to claim a discounted Amazon Fire TV Stick:

  • Sign up to TopCashback here
  • Search for Amazon and click ‘Get Cashback Now’
  • Shop and checkout as usual
  • Cashback will track and appear in the TopCashback account within seven working days of purchase
  • The cashback will become payable and available to withdraw and spend after Amazon has paid TopCashback the commission for the purchase

Both the Fire TV Stick HD and Fire TV Stick 4K achieved impressive ratings from Amazon customers, earning 4.6 stars and 4.7 stars, respectively. Of the 4K model, one shopper said: “Great product at a great price, setup was very simple. Plug it in, connect to Wi-Fi, and have access to all streaming apps, all in one. Love it.”

Another said: “Contains all the services you need and more, easy to connect to your account and log in to all your subscriptions. Quality is really good in every aspect, and I don’t know what I’d do without it.”

One buyer was disappointed with the device’s 8GB of storage, as they said: “Storage isn’t enough. Runs out rather quickly if you put a few apps on it and stutters a lot when scrolling through the menus.”

While this five-star review said: “Love the upgrade from the old Fire TV Stick. So much quicker and better quality. Also love the new remote style. Definitely worth the money.”
