A woman unboxed her £4.99 Pizza Express Too Good To Go bag and was left floored by what was inside, saying that the shop wasn’t even about to close soon
Too Good To Go bags are a great way to combat food waste and get some tasty treats at the same time. When one woman decided to treat herself to a bag from Pizza Express, she was left with way more than she anticipated, taking to TikTok to show off her spoils to jealous followers – and it’s not the first time someone has been left stunned by Too Good To Go.
Laura, who posts on the social media platform as @laura.jane.popsey, filmed herself collecting the £4.99 bag, and it was rammed full of goodies. “Oh my god, it’s massive! Thank you so much,” she exclaimed, as she took the boxes back to the car in the paper bag.
Laura said: “Oh my goodness, again, it’s not even closing, but there’s loads in there. Let’s hope that we got a good one. Not gonna lie, I’m getting a bit of a weird smell, so fingers crossed that it’s something good”.
When she got back home, Laura started unboxing her goods, counting up how many boxes she had. In total, Pizza Express had given her six boxes of food.
In box number one, she had some dough balls, and in box number two, she had some honeycomb cheesecake. In box three, there was some mozzarella garlic bread, which Laura said she fancied “right now”.

Box four contained a tiramisu, and Laura seemed really excited about that. Box five had a carrot cake inside, and she noted that she was having a friend around the day after, and these cakes would be the perfect offering for them with a cup of tea.
The final box had bruschetta in it, which she said smelled “so good,” as she said she was going to “try some now,” and it got a big thumbs up from her.
Laura said that she was really happy with the haul, saying they got “loads” and it was a “steal”. She joked that it was the “perfect 9pm snack,” and often, food from Too Good To Go can be enjoyed the day after, also.
In the comments, some complained that they’d got way less when they got a food waste bag.
One woman replied: “As a person who works in a restaurant that does To Good To Go, it’s not gonna be the same every time. Sometimes you get less, sometimes you get more; it depends on how much waste there is by the end of the night”.
Laura replied: “Thanks for letting us know!” Someone else pointed out: “Too Good To Go isn’t going to get you a three-course meal. You get what would otherwise go to waste.”
“This looks like a good deal,” another penned. Too Good To Go is an effective way to combat food waste because it connects businesses that have surplus food at the end of the day with consumers who are willing to purchase it at a reduced price.
By facilitating this connection through a simple app, food that would otherwise be thrown away is instead enjoyed by people.
