Primark shoppers say ‘run don’t walk’ to nab £12 cardigan that looks designer

By staff20 October 2025No Comments2 Mins Read

Primarks £12 contrast-stitch cardigan has gone viral, with fashion fans calling it a designer alternative for a fraction of the price

Primark has seriously upped its style game this autumn, and it’s latest cardigan has fashion fans calling it a “must-have” for autumn and winter.

Shoppers have been rushing to stores after spotting a £12 knit that looks far more expensive than its price tag, and many are comparing it to designer styles from Toteme that cost hundreds.

Part of the new Paula Echevarria collection, the cardigan has the feel of a designer piece. A relaxed yet polished fit, soft neutral tones, and a chic contrast stick that runs neatly along the hem and cuffs.

It’s the kind of wardrobe staple that goes with everything from straight-leg jeans and loafers to midi skirts and knee-high boots.

Plus, it works just as well for office days as it does for chilled weekends at home on the sofa.

TikTok users are saying they are “obsessed” with the “cute find” for autumn and the affordable price tag.

One user wrote: “I feel £12 is a bit of a bargain for that”. While a second added: “My husband snatched this up for me straight away! Obsessed”.And a third said: “Got one today they are gorgeous”.

At £12, it’s no suprise shoppers are saying “run, don’t walk” to Primark before this designer look-a-like sells out for good.

Minimalist fashion fans will be pleased to hear that this cosy knit is available in three chic neutral colourways, chocolate brown with cream stitching, charcoal grey with black stitching and buttery cream with black stitching.

Proof that you don’t need a designer label to look effortlessly stylish, we reckon Primark’s latest knit is set to become the piece everyone is talking about this autumn.

And with temperatures dropping, and layering season in full swing, this knit is the perfect excuse to give your wardrobe a little new season refresh.
