‘I went to a drag bottomless brunch and there’s one thing everyone needs to know’

By staff20 October 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

If you’re looking for the perfect bottomless brunch, look no further

I have to confess, I’m a huge fan of a bottomless brunch. There’s something just so much fun about meeting up with all of your favourite pals, eating delicious food and drinking fizz.

Don’t judge, but be it avocado on toast, a full fry-up or pancakes, mixed with a cheeky day time drink and lots of laughs, in my opinion, a bottomless brunch is a great way to lift a mood after a tough week.

So, when a pal suggested we try drag brunch, I jumped at the chance. We both love Ru Paul’s Drag race (oh to be even an 80th as glamorous as the absolute queens taking part) and it’d been an age since we’d had a proper catch up.

We opted for Ginger’s Drag Brunch, an experience described as “where outrageous meets fun”. It also promised to be a “brunch like never before” – as I fan, I wasn’t sure it could live up to this. Oh, how wrong I was.

From the moment we were all seated – complete with a glass of fizz – and were greeted by our hostess with the mostess, Ginger Phlappage, I knew this was going to be an afternoon to remember.

Ginger herself is an absolute vision of red hair, sass and general all round fabulousness. From her initial quips to her incredible Shirley Bassey opening number, she had the guests in the palm of her, very well manicured, hands.

Immediately, the atmosphere in the room turned from excited anticipation to full on hilarity, with whoops and cheers coming from every corner. At our brunch there were two hen dos, more birthdays than I can count, a mother and daughter duo and a sea of enthralled and happy faces.

Even the naming of teams – vital for the fun that follows – was hilarious (and very saucy).

We were treated to performances from special guests, bingo, a challenge involving toilet roll (I won’t spoil it, you’ll just have to go along yourself to see what I mean) and a delicious meal.

It’s fair to say the fizz was very free flowing, which added to the party atmosphere but the real stars of the show were the queens themselves, who didn’t stop entertaining for a moment.

At one point, after almost forgetting to breathe and realising my jaw was hurting because I was laughing so much, I turned to my pal and said “this is the most joyous I’ve felt in an age”.

So, if you’re celebrating a hen do, a birthday, the end of a particularly challenging week at work, whatever, it really doesn’t matter, run, don’t walk to book your spot at Ginger’s Drag Brunch now.
