The Primark boots bear a striking resemblance to a much more expensive pair from designer brand Burberry
Primark is currently selling a pair of shoes that are remarkably similar to a more expensive counterpart. The high street giant, renowned for its budget-friendly fashion and homeware, may have just launched a new latest crowd-pleaser.
The Knee High Biker Boots from Primark bear a striking resemblance to a style by luxury brand Burberry but at a fraction of the price. Shoppers can bag the Primark version for £26, while the designer alternative retails at £1,690 online.
Both pairs feature matching silhouettes, with a knee-high, leather-look design. They both also included similar buckle detailing near the ankle and a rounded toe.
However, there are some differences too. The sole of the Burberry shoe features a blue brand logo, and there’s a slight difference between the buckling on the boots too. The Primark shoes are also made with faux leather.
Primark describes the product as “knee high biker boots with buckle detailing.” They are available in black, and can be ordered via click and collect online.
The full Primark description reads: “Tough yet stylish, these black knee-high biker boots are ready for anything. They have a comfortable flat sole and a sleek black finish.
“The adjustable buckle strap adds a cool, edgy vibe. Pull them on and off easily with a zip on the instep. Perfect for adding some attitude to your everyday outfits.”
The designer description states: “Equestrian-inspired boots made in Italy from smooth calf leather with B buckle straps.
“The leather sole is detailed with our Equestrian Knight Design in contrasting Knight Blue.”
Primark’s Knee High Biker Boots retail for £26, while the Burberry Leather Saddle High Boots come in at £1,690. This means shoppers could save £1,664 by opting for the cheaper alternative.
