A home cook shared her simple recipe for making bread rolls that only need two ingredients – and they can be made in just 12 minutes in the air fryer
There’s nothing quite like the aroma of freshly baked bread wafting from the oven. But the craft and process of creating bread from scratch can take hours, and not everybody has that luxury of time, reports the Express.
To assist home bakers in producing bakery-standard bread with minimal components and virtually no waiting time, TikTok creator Ciara, also known as The Tummy Fairy, shared her fool-proof method. In a recent clip, Ciara insisted that you only require two ingredients to whip up some delectable bread rolls.
Her method eliminates the necessity for lengthy, tedious proving periods. You’ll simply need self-raising flour and Greek yoghurt.
What’s even more brilliant is that to accelerate the baking procedure, you can cook the bread entirely in the air fryer. Ciara said: “I’ve used this two ingredient dough for making naan and flat breads for years.
“I’ve also tried it with bagels, which I love and you can also substitute the yogurt with cottage cheese or kefir! You can add in flavourings and herbs but this is the base recipe, and it turned out lovely for bread rolls.”
She explained that if you want to swap the self-raising flour for spelt or plain flour, you’d need to incorporate baking powder to assist the bread’s rising. Ciara continued: “They’re so delicious and they’d be perfect in the kids’ lunch boxes too.”
Ciara’s clip has already received over 706,700 views, attracting 14,500 likes and 282 comments. Faz said: “Looks yummy, will try it tomorrow.”

A third commented: “I’m trying this tonight because it’s 7pm and I haven’t had tea yet because Tesco run.”

Air fryer Bread Rolls
Ingredients
- 300g Greek yogurt
- 300g self raising flour
- Pinch of salt (optional)
Method
Pop the flour, salt and yogurt into a large mixing bowl. Stir it about with a spoon then simply use your hands to bring it all together into a dough.
Move onto a floured surface and knead gently with your hands, and slice into six. Mould into uniform balls with your hands.
Heat up your air fryer for a few minutes, coat the tray with oil so the dough won’t stick, then place in the rolls leaving gaps between them. Coat with egg wash.
This is where you can sprinkle seeds, if you fancy. Air fryer on the standard setting at 175 °C for 12-15 minutes, depending on size of the rolls.
Eat warm with your favourite toppings or you can freeze them once cooled, enjoy.
