Strictly star Saffron Barker has opened up on her relationship with Scottish model Josh Miln, their recent move from Brighton to Dubai and her hopes for a family
Strictly Come Dancing favourite and YouTube sensation Saffron Barker has given fans a glimpse into her loved-up relationship with Scottish model Josh Miln, and revealed her hopes for the future and growing her own family.
The 25-year-old influencer, who recently celebrated her first anniversary with Josh, has come a long way since she first captured hearts online at age 15. Saffron built her career from the ground up, sharing her life with millions of subscribers, from sun-soaked holidays and hilarious pranks with her brothers to candid glimpses into her relationships.
Now, happily settled with Josh, Saffron says she finally feels ready to think about what comes next. “Hopefully, just a couple more years of focusing on our careers, and then children,” she giggles as we catch up with her at The Pride Of Britain. With both of their careers giving them the freedom to travel, the couple are in no rush to slow down just yet.

“I’m very lucky because, as much as my job allows me to work from anywhere, so does his,” Saffron says. “He’s a model, signed to agencies in Dubai and America, which means he can travel everywhere and support me too. It’s really nice.”
Saffron also admitted that she had been dealing with constant jetlag as she has been making the commute from Dubai to the UK regularly, after making the move to the Middle East in June.
In the summer, Saffron stunned fans when she revealed she was leaving her hometown of Brighton to begin a new life in Dubai. Taking to Instagram and YouTube, she shared the emotional moment she packed up her things and jetted off to apartment hunt in the Sunshine City.
“I can’t believe I’m saying this out loud, it feels so surreal, but come and get ready with me to go apartment searching in Dubai.” The move marked a major milestone for Saffron, who admitted she’d never lived anywhere else before, as she said: “Why not, whilst I’m young, just try something new.”
“I’ve always been in my hometown Brighton, which I do absolutely love, and there’s no doubt I will end up in Brighton because I absolutely love it,” she added.
But for now, Saffron is embracing a jet-setting lifestyle with Josh, revealing that the couple plans to split their time between Dubai and the UK.
“It’s so exciting because it means I still get to go home and see my friends and family, but at the same time, Josh and I get to start this whole new chapter together,” she said.
The Strictly star has been documenting every step of her big move on social media and YouTube, sharing her excitement about starting a new chapter in Dubai, a city that holds a special place in boyfriend Josh’s heart.
“Dubai is such a beautiful place. It’s also where Josh spent much of his life,” she previously told her subscribers.
It seems Saffron has found her Prince Charming following a string of unsuccessful relationships and rumoured situationships. Saffron, who boasts 2.4million subscribers on YouTube, has been linked with several social media stars, including Elliot Crawford and Joe Weller.
She has also been linked with her Strictly partner, AJ Pritchard, after they were partnered together in 2019. Rumours with Saffron and AJ hit boiling point when the pair appeared to kiss during an emotionally charged and highly steamy dance routine. AJ publicly spoke out to quash the rumours and confirmed that Saffron was simply a ‘great friend’ and nothing more.
Love Island star Luca Bish revealed that he dated Saffron for a few months before entering the Love Island villa. The couple reportedly attended the same school in Brighton, and after growing close, they enjoyed a brief romance.
While it wasn’t meant to be, the former couple appear to still be on good terms, with YouTube star Saffron wishing him luck before he stepped into the famous villa.
Saffron’s most recent relationship before Josh was with former rugby union player Louis Rees-Zammit. The couple went public with their romance in November 2023, but in March 2024, Saffron released a statement sharing they had gone their separate ways.
Without revealing too much, Saffron told her followers: “Hi everyone. I have so much exciting news to update you on, and I promise to keep you all posted on that. For now though, I wanted to address some of the questions re my relationship. Whilst I won’t be going into any detail, I am no longer in a relationship. I am fully focused on my well-being, wonderful family, & career”.
Reflecting on the support, she said: “The community I’ve built on here for nearly 10 years (how amazing!) are always there for me. It feels so special to have your support & strength – so thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.” While the blonde beauty has embarked on a turbulent love life in the past, it is all behind her now as she appears happier than ever.
She looked gorgeous as she posed for pictures on the red carpet at the Pride of Britain awards before telling us why she loves it so much, and flew back from Dubai to attend.
“It goes to show how many incredible and inspiring people there are, and of course, it makes me very proud to be British. This is my favourite event of the year for that reason. I have literally flown back from Dubai for this event. I am not kidding when I say it’s my favourite event ever. Obviously, I cry all the way through.”
