Aldi’s new £7 ‘cosy home’ SpecialBuy ‘looks just like’ £45 White Company version

Aldi shoppers can get a similar-looking product for a fraction of the price

09:17, 27 Oct 2025Updated 09:17, 27 Oct 2025

Aldi has just launched a brand new range of ‘warm and cosy’ household items in its latest line-up of SpecialBuys. Its most recent batch of items includes various products aimed at keeping shoppers comfortable at home as the weather turns colder.

The supermarket’s Keep Warm and Cosy in Winter 2025 collection arrived in stores last week, with most of the items becoming available on Sunday (October 26). However, as with all middle aisle SpecialBuys, they will only stick around while stocks last and once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Commenting on the new range, a spokesperson said: “As temperatures start to drop, supermarket Aldi is helping Brits keep warm this winter without overspending on energy bills thanks to the return of its sell-out home gadgets. Landing in stores from 23 October, with further products available from 26 October.

“These must-have products can save shoppers as much as 84% compared to popular brands. Set to be a sell-out range, those looking to get ahead of the winter months will need to hurry because, as with all Aldi Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone.”

The range includes heated mattress pads in various sizes and prices, a dehumidifier for £40, radiator reflectors for £9.99, an oscillating ceramic tower heater for £24.99, and heated blankets in four colours for £24.99. One particular item in the new range not only claims to help people stay warm and save on energy bills, but also could easily rival a high-end brand in terms of looks.

Aldi’s new Long Premium Hot Water Bottle could be mistaken at a glance for a similar version at The White Company, which costs more. By shopping at Aldi, customers could get a similar-looking product for a fraction of the price. Aldi’s offering costs £6.99 and is available as a long cushion with a ‘cosy’ plush cover.

Aldi’s description of the Long Premium Hot Water Bottle reads: “Keep warm and snug this winter. Ideal for cuddling up or pop into your bed before you climb in for that extra cosy warm feeling.” Its faux fur cover is removable and machine washable, and is 73cm long.

Meanwhile, The White Company’s ‘lookalike’ Super Soft Faux Fur Long Hot Water Bottle is £45, which is £38 more than Aldi’s and is described as a ‘comforting, cosy accessory’ that’s ‘luxuriously soft’. Like Aldi’s one, it is designed to lie across the length of the body and comes with a rubber hot-water bottle.

Although they both look very similar, there are a few differences. Besides price, The White Company’s £45 Super Soft Faux Fur Long Hot Water Bottle is slightly longer at 78cm and is made with a different type of faux fur. Aldi’s £6.99 Long Premium Hot Water Bottle is available in two colour options – cream or pink – while The White Company only has cream or grey.

Hot water bottles can be a handy way to conserve energy and save money, as they enable you to warm your body directly rather than heating up an entire room or house. This approach greatly reduces your total energy usage.

By using a hot water bottle, you can lower your central heating thermostat while remaining warm and cosy, which can lead to significant reductions in your energy expenses. The expense of boiling water to fill a hot water bottle is quite minimal, usually just a few pence.
