Club New Look is free to sign up to, with perks including weekly ‘Club Prices’ on select products, early access to sales and promotional events, and entry into member-only competitions
New Look has launched its first-ever loyalty scheme with exclusive discounts for members.
Club New Look is free to sign up to, with perks including weekly “Club Prices” on select products, early access to sales and promotional events, and entry into member-only competitions.
Members also get a 25% welcome discount when they join. The fashion retailer said it wants to deliver a more personalised shopping experience for its 10 million known customers.
New Look CEO Helen Connolly said: “At New Look, we’re always exploring ways to better recognise and reward our customers. Club New Look is our new loyalty proposition, designed to offer exclusive, added-value benefits that make our members feel seen, appreciated and inspired.
“Following a successful soft launch, which saw 500,000 customers joining our club, we are now aiming to have 800,000 members by the end of the financial year.
“We’re excited to roll this out nationally as part of our ongoing strategy to create a more digitally driven, personalised and rewarding shopping experience.”
It comes after New Look closed dozens of stores this year, including 26 in the Republic of Ireland after the retailer confirmed it was exiting the nation completely.
The Times reported earlier this year that New Look was looking to “accelerate future store closures” when leases expire. The newspaper said this was due to extra costs following an increase in minimum wage and the rate of National Insurance paid by employers.
According to the report, around a quarter of its store could be at risk of closure. New Look did not confirm this report at the time. On its website, New Look says it has 338 stores in the UK.
In more retail news, US fashion brand Anthropologie has announced plans to open three new stores in the UK. The retailer opened its flagship UK store in London, Regent Street in 2009 – and has now revealed plans to expand its high street presence.
There will be new stores opening in Liverpool on November 5, Glasgow on November 12 and Manchester on November 26.
Gap has also announced its return to the UK high street with three new standalone stores. Gap opened in the UK in 1987 and closed its last UK store in September 2021.
But now, the US clothing brand has confirmed it will open its new flagship store in Covent Garden on November 6, followed by branches in Westfield London on December 4 and Wembley Park London Designer Outlet on December 12.
Gap currently has four shop-in-shop concepts within Next stores, including in Oxford Street, London, Braehead, Glasgow and Trafford and Arndale shopping centres in Manchester.
The fashion brand also has more than 40 concessions in Next stores across England and Ireland.
