At first glance, the skincare haul is pretty incredible thanks to its mass of full-sized products that are the ideal base for any skincare routine. While I’m pretty clued up on what to use for the day time (cleanse, tone, serum and moisturiser – not to mention SPF), I always struggle when it comes to the evening.

However this set is ideal for those who want to trial some night time products for a fraction of the price. With this in mind, the box contains a selection of minis including the No7 Pure Retinol 0.3% Retinol Night Concentrate, Future Renew Damage Reversal Night Serum, as well as a full-sized Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Night Cream.

While I’m yet to use the retinol concentrate (I’m waiting for some irritation to improve), the night cream is gorgeously rich and leaves my skin feeling well hydrated, plumped and not greasy overnight – which is often the case with some night creams. It also doesn’t feel too heavy and like a film – also a common issue.

One shopper echoed my thoughts and said: “This is my new perfect night cream. I’ve used big brands and now I’ve settled on this as my new favourite. It’s not too heavy and feels lovely on my over 55 skin! I highly recommend this night cream.”

The only downside noted in some comments is its fragrance, which ‘some people may find a bit much for a night cream’. I wouldn’t say the scent is overpowering, but it is fresh and quite floral, which some people may not enjoy. Although I did.

As for the day cream, it’s unbelievably lightweight and feels almost watery – similar in texture to the £52 GATINEAU Hydra Aura Water Cream – and leaves my skin dewy and bouncy.

While the toning water including is described as being a mini, a little goes a long way and so it’ll certainly last a good few months. Applying it after cleansing with a cotton pad, the toner is nice and refreshing. While I’ve not been using it long enough to see a difference and back whether its claims are true (it “helps to reduce the appearance of pores, for a clear and more even looking complexion”) it feels so nice to apply after cleansing that I’ll take it as a win.

I’ll certainly be putting my £18 PIXI Glow Tonic to the side for now to give it a good go. Shoppers have been loving that this toner also doesn’t ‘dry out skin’ – which is pretty vital. One said: “Due to no alcohol content, it does not dry out the skin. Leaves my face feeling clean and refreshed.” It doesn’t have much of a smell either, which some people may prefer.
