The Osbourne family has shared that since their rocker father’s death, several ‘nutters’ have come out making bizarre claims, including one woman who is convinced she is his daughter
A woman claiming to be Ozzy Osbourne’s long-lost daughter has sent hair, blood and even toenail clippings to widow Sharon with a desperate plea for a DNA test.
The bizarre revelation came during the latest episode of The Osbournes podcast, where Sharon and her children Kelly and Jack gathered for their first joint conversation since the Black Sabbath legend died in July at the age of 76.
The former X Factor judge, 73, said the family has been inundated with people attempting to contact them since Ozzy’s death — including those insisting they have a personal connection to him.
Kelly, 41, explained: “We’ve had quite a few nutters coming out of the woodwork saying that they’re speaking to dad from the grave.” Sharon then added one of the most shocking details, saying: “We had one lady send us her toenails.”
Kelly continued: “It was a toenail, some blood, hair, because she’s absolutely convinced that she is dad’s child.” While the Osbournes have learned to take such claims in stride, Sharon admitted that adjusting to life without Ozzy has been unimaginably painful.
On the episode, she recalled a promise she made before his death, saying she told him she would never “go with another man” and confessed she struggles to sleep alone. “I hate going to bed at night,” she said emotionally. “I hate going into a room, empty.”
Kelly revealed she initially stayed close to her mother after Ozzy’s passing. “I slept with you for the first two months so that you weren’t on your own,” she said. “But then I felt like you needed some space.”
Jack added that solitude has helped him process his grief, sharing: “I have found alone time has been helpful.” Ozzy died just weeks after delivering a triumphant homecoming performance at Villa Park in Birmingham, and the family is now considering a tribute show in his honour.
When asked whether plans were moving forward, Sharon confirmed: “I’m talking to the Villa again. You know, we’ll see.” The family previously spoke about the overwhelming support they’ve received from fans and friends around the world — including a particularly touching gesture from King Charles.
Jack revealed: “We got a lovely letter from the King,” which prompted Sharon to praise the monarch for his kindness to their family. “Our King is an amazing person,” she said. “He is an amazing person, not just because he wrote to us when Ozzy passed, but if he did it for us, know he does it for many, many, many people.”
She added that Charles has reached out to the family during difficult moments before, including after Ozzy’s serious quad-bike accident in 2003. “He’s got a good heart. He didn’t have to do certain things that he’s done for Ozzy,” Sharon said.
Ozzy, who had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s and suffered several health complications in recent years, died of a heart attack at the age of 76.
He was laid to rest in Birmingham on July 30 as the Band of the Coldstream Guards paid tribute to him by performing Paranoid during the Changing of the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
