A desperate search is underway on a river Wales after reports of a man being seen in the water.
Officers from Gwent Police are currently combing part of Afon Elwyd river in Cwmbran, South Wales following reports concerning the welfare of a man at 10:15pm on Thursday.
A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: “Officers are responding to a report about the welfare of a man in the river close to Edlogan Way, Cwmbran, at around 10.15pm on Thursday 13 November. Enquiries are ongoing.”
Pictures taken at the scene show a police vehicle parked close to where officers are searching.
