House worth £190k in quiet village for sale yet listing leaves out one massive issue

The three-bedroom semi-detached house has a fair few plus points, but its biggest selling point is missing from its estate agent listing

A ‘perfect’ home has hit the market with one catch – and it’s absolutely massive. The three-bedroom property in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, has plenty to shout about, according to estate agents.

There’s ample living space, a well-equipped kitchen, a conservatory, a driveway and a rear garden. But one feature that’s mysteriously absent from the estate agent’s description will likely catch buyers’ eyes above all else: the enormous electricity pylon dominating the garden.

The towering structure looms just metres from the conservatory. The steel giant overlooks the semi-detached home and would undoubtedly become a conversation starter at summer barbecues.

Burchell Edwards is handling the sale, with the property advertised on Rightmove, according to Luxury Property News. The listing makes no reference to the pylon – though it’s impossible to miss it in the photographs, reports Derbyshire Live.

It reads: “We at Burchell Edwards are delighted to offer to the market this semi-detached home that is looking for a new family to love. This home is located in the heart of Stanley village and offers great living space and will make for the perfect first time or family purchase.

“The home comprises of a large lounge diner, well equipped kitchen and conservatory to the ground floor. The upstairs holds the three good size bedrooms and the family bathroom.

“To the rear is the private enclosed garden and there is private driveway parking to the front. Located in a quiet cul-de-sac and close to all major road links and being within a short drive to both Heanor and Ilkeston town centres really makes this a must see so please call Burchell Edwards today to arrange your viewing.”
