By staff14 November 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

A shopper looking for affordable presents shared a simple DIY gift idea

Home Bargains shoppers looking for Secret Santa gifts can make a ‘brilliant’ DIY present for ‘under £6.’ As Christmas approaches, shoppers are on the lookout for gifts for their friends and family.

If you’re a parent planning to purchase a gift for your child’s teacher, or your office is organising a Secret Santa, the costs can quickly add up. Fortunately, a shopper has come up with a budget-friendly idea that’s ideal for when you want to buy someone a ‘small Christmas gift’, and the present is both affordable and thoughtful.

Posting on TikTok under the username @itsbeckylane, shopper Becky Lane showcased an easy DIY gift she made using products from Home Bargains.

After selecting a £3.99 Nordic Spirit Marble Board and a selection of wooden kitchen utensils, Becky made a gift set that could be ideal for amateur chefs or anyone who loves hosting parties. She even wrapped it up in a bow, creating a beautifully presented gift without breaking the bank.

Becky captioned her video: “Small Christmas gift idea, all for under £6! Perfect for Secret Santa or a teacher’s present. Everything is from Home Bargains.”

For shoppers who like the DIY idea, Home Bargains is stocking a selection of festive serving boards. Like the Nordic Spirit Marble Board, which is designed in the shape of a Christmas tree, there’s a £5.99 Home Collections Acacia Wood Tree Shaped Serving Board.
