Aldi’s £17 winter must-have ‘keeps you warm on coldest nights’

By staff12 October 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

The supermarket is stocking a winter essential that could be the ‘perfect choice for staying toasty’

Aldi is stocking a £17 item described as “the perfect choice for staying toasty on the chilliest of winter nights.” Known for selling affordable home and lifestyle products, the supermarket chain may have a new crowd-pleaser on its hands.

The retailer has unveiled its upcoming SpecialBuys, and the October 16 drop includes a winter must-have. Available in stores from Thursday, Aldi is selling a £16.99 Slumberdown Double Duvet and a £19.99 Slumberdown King Duvet. The range could be ideal for shoppers looking for a new winter duvet ahead of the colder months.

The product description for the double duvet says: “A Duvet that provides extra warmth with an added snug feel, making it the perfect choice for staying toasty on the chilliest of winter nights.” The description adds that the 15 tog duvet is “ideal for winter months” wth its “soft and snuggly hollow fibre filling” and “soft touch cover” offering “ultra-warm comfort.”

The product description for the king duvet says: “Treat yourself to a duvet that provides extra warmth and an added snug feel, making it the perfect choice for staying toasty on the chilliest of winter nights.”

Similarly, the 15 tog duvet is said to be “ideal for winter months” with its “soft and snuggly hollow fibre filling” and “soft touch cover”.

Slumberdown’s website explains that the tog rating of a duvet indicates its warmth. “The weight, softness and warmth of a duvet depends on its tog rating and filling. The higher the tog rating, the warmer the duvet. Togs usually start at 4.5 for a summer, lighter duvet up to 15 for the warmest winter duvet.”

Both duvets are included in the October 16 SpecialBuys range, with new products released twice a week. This means shoppers will likely need to be quick if they’re keen to shop the range, as these items typically have limited stock, and once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Other bedding deals in the October 16 Specialbuys include a £14.99 Kirkton House Teddy Double Duvet Set and a £16.99 Kirkton House Teddy King Duvet Set. Both sets are 100% polyester, with beige, brown, green and grey colour options. The product description says: “Treat your bed to some brand new toppings with this Teddy King Duvet Set.”

There’s also a £19.99 Kirkton Hois Faux Fur Throw in plain beige, plain grey, white ribbed or green bubble. The product description says: “Add a touch of style with a throw for the perfect finishing touches. Perfect for your sofa or bedroom.”

The duvets and bedding sets aren’t the only home items available. From Thursday, Aldi will also be stocking a £4.99 Mini Mushroom Table Lamp and a £6.99 Faux Fur Cushion, which could impress shoppers looking to spruce up their bedrooms.
