Alejandro Garnacho is expected to leave Manchester United this summer and the winger is confident that he will be a Chelsea player before the transfer window slams shut
Alejandro Garnacho is convinced he will be a Chelsea player by the end of the transfer window. Chelsea are still a long way from Manchester United ’s £40m-plus valuation but regard him as one of their prime targets with just a week to go in the market.
The Blues have sounded out United over possible swap deals involving Christopher Nkunku and Tyrique George but have made no progress.
Chelsea value Garnacho closer to £30m and United ultimately regard the Argentina starlet as a £50m talent but realistically time is running out and he is not in Ruben Amorim’s plans.
But despite the uncertainty, Garnacho is well aware of Chelsea’s strong interest and that has led to him turning down other possibilities, including a loan approach from Bayern Munich.
Chelsea have to offload themselves with Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson on the market while Raheem Sterling is available for loan.

Garnacho has not been part of United boss Amorim’s first team plans this season and has been exiled from the match day squad for the first two games of the season.
Garnacho is currently part of a four-man bomb squad at Old Trafford, with Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia also sidelined while United try to find buyers for them. “Of course it’s not ideal to have senior players training away from the first-team group,” an insider told Mirror Football .
“But until offers are received that meet our valuations then the situation remains the same. Some clubs might feel that we will be happy to do business at any price but that isn’t the case.
“The manager has said he will look to reintroduce any or all of them back to the squad if they are still United players when the window closes. Situations like these tend to be resolved late in the day.”
Marcus Rashford was also part of the bomb squad, but he joined Barcelona on loan last month after they agreed to cover his wages in full. The deal also includes an option to buy the forward for £30million.
