Actor Ioan Gruffudd and new wife Bianca have announced they are expecting their first baby together after getting married in April and Alice Evans has found some extra support
Alice Evans joked that she has ‘fallen in love’ again after her brother Tony’s new puppy stole her heart.
The actress is still coming to terms with the news that her ex-husband Ioan Gruffudd and wife Bianca have announced they are expecting their first baby together. The couple’s big news came just two months after the pair tied the knot in a lavish cliffside ceremony.
He moved on after his bitter split from his heartbroken ex wife, with whom he shares two daughters. Alice spoke candidly about the shock ending to their relationship, telling her followers she was in ‘excruciating pain’ as she opened up about their break-up in agonising detail, saying it help them on the brink of homelessness.
She seems in a better place now, and she’s found another companion, sharing that she was a ‘happy girl’ after managing to earn enough to pay her rent for next month, and fund a trip to Europe. She uploaded snaps with her brother and his cute dog curled up on her neck and she teased: “New man, new life”.
She went on to tell fans on Instagram: “No, seriously. Me and my two girls came so close to being homeless a month ago. I’m their only parent and only relative within 6,000 miles so it’s hard to go away for 5 days knowing they’re alone. But I did it. And I earned the money for next month’s rent.
“AND I got to see my beloved brother ( that is the color he goes when he sits in the sun and was also the color I used to go before I stopped!!) AND I met people I’ve wanted to meet for so many years and it was as great if not greater than I’d imagined”.
The Fantastic Four actor, 51, and Aussie actress Bianca, 32, shared their exciting news to Instagram last month. The couple posted a sweet black and white photo of Ioan kissing his wife’s growing baby bump. “Baby Gruffudd poppin’ out to say hello!” the caption read. Ioan and Bianca’s announcement was soon flooded with congratulations from their friends. One person penned: “Over the moon with excitement Mr & Mrs Gruffudd.”
The pair shared a joint statement admitting they were going through a ‘difficult time’ as their 13 year marriage crumbled. Alice and Welshman Ioan then released a joint statement saying it was a difficult time but they remain ‘committed’ to their daughters Ella and Elsie. “
As you can imagine, this is an incredibly difficult time for our family and we remain committed to our children. Thank you for respecting our privacy,” they shared. In a follow up post, Alice took to Instagram to share a photo of a broken heart and another image of a heart on a blackboard with ‘Game over’ written across it.
The couple met on the set of 102 Dalmations in 2000 – when Alice was in a relationship with Pablo Picasso’s grandson Oliver. Alice and Ioan then announced their engagement six months later and tied the knot in Mexico in 2007.
They welcomed two daughters were both conceived through IVF after Alice was found to have a low antral follicle count at the age of 38. Speaking after the birth of her firstborn Ella, Alice said: “It was as close to being in heaven as I’d ever get.”
Ioann and Bianca went public with their relationship in 2021 after working together on the set of a new TV series. It was another two years before Ioann’s divorce from Alice was finalised.
