Apple has sent out an invite to a major launch event next month.

It’s been a long time coming but it’s finally official. Apple has just confirmed it’s holding its next big launch event next month and it could be the first time we all get to see the upcoming iPhone 17.

Mirror Online was already speculating when the grand unveiling would take place and it appears we got it spot on with the US technology giant saying the event will take place on Tuesday, September 9.

Announcing the news in an invite sent out to media, Apple confirmed, “Awe Dropping,” the message reads. “Please join us for a special Apple Event at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park.”

Of course, Apple never reveals anything ahead of the big day but what can we expect at the keynote which is taking place at Apple Park in California?

It’s been almost a year since we saw the iPhone 15, and Rumours are now rife that the iPhone 17 range is on its way.

If correct, it’s almost certain we’ll see a standard model revealed which is likely to get a 6.1-screen and dual-lens camera.

This will probably be joined by a refreshed iPhone 17 Pro with many speculating that big changes are coming to these more premium call makers.

Numerous images have appeared online and appear to show this phone with a new look and camera bump that spreads across the whole rear of the case.

Along with the iPhone 17 and 17 Pro, there could also be a big surprise with whispers suggesting an iPhone 17 Air will also be shown to the world.

As the name suggests, this device could be super skinny and be far easier to slot into pockets.

We can expect all of Apple’s new devices to feature a faster processor, improved cameras and be smarter than before.

Full details will be revealed on September 9th at 6pm BST and it’s definitely one to watch out for if you are due an upgrade. If previous years are anything to go by, the next event won’t just be about phones.

It’s also likely that we’ll see upgrades to the Apple Watch and AirPods at the event as well with these gadgets often getting a boost during the yearly iPhone showcase.

Apple Watch fans will surely be hoping for a design refresh this year along with improve health features and longer battery life.

Luckily, there’s not too long to wait for all the news to be confirmed. Apple’s launch is now just two weeks away.
