Amazon’s Fire TV is the cheapest it has ever been
Amazon has started to launch its early Black Friday deals – and it has already decided to cut the price of its budget TV to the lowest price ever.
The Amazon Fire TV is a 50-inch 4K TV priced at £279.99, down from £499.99, that’s perfect if you have been looking for a decently priced 4K TV to replace your old gogglebox or as a spare replacement for another room in the home.
It comes with a big 4K 50-inch screen that’ll help fill up your room as well as HDR 10, HLG and Dolby Digital Plus. It also comes with a Fire TV Alexa Voice Remote so you can press and ask to find favourite apps, films and programmes, plus check the weather, sports scores and more.

It also comes with new Alexa skills, features, smart home capabilities and voice functionality all the time and HDMI inputs to connect to satellite TV and video game consoles. There’s even HDMI eARC so you can add audio equipment for enhanced sound with your sound system.
Reviewers have been praised the device thanks to its price – and now it’s even better thanks to the price. CamelCamelCamel has said this is the lowest price ever since the TV was launched.
One reviewer said: “Bought this as a telly for the playroom and it is superb. The room is not massive so the 43 inch was perfect and was nice and easy to set up. We used the supplied stand but it’s not heavy so I’d have no concerns mounting it on the wall.
“The screen is clear, picture sharp, with good sound (for TV speakers). However, it is the great range of apps (Prime, Netflix, Disney, BBC, etc) that make the TV great value for money. An added major plus point was being able to connector it to a games controller and play games like Fortnite on the Amazon Luna platform.”
However, some shoppers have complained about how slow and glitchy the TV is. One reviewer added: “So I bought this TV during the Prime day sale and for that amount it is worth it but I would never pay the retail price especially when there are better quality and branded TV’s available for similar prices.
“The sound and video quality are nothing impressive but what makes it annoying to use is the glitchy FireTV software. It crashes randomly and at times becomes unresponsive leaving me with one option which is to pull the power plug. Otherwise the TV looks nice, has a thin bezel but a little thicker than most TV’s but I can look past that.”
If you want some great alternatives, we recommend LG who provides some greatest OLED TVs on the market. LG has launched its early Black Friday deals here including the 55-inch C4 OLED for £1,299 if you really want to go all out.
