Amazon rivals Apple and Spotify by giving away free music streaming for 3 months

By staff20 March 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

Amazon Music Unlimited is now free for three months and also includes Audible ahead of the retailer’s Spring Deal Days sale

Amazon is tempting music lovers away from Apple Music and Spotify by giving away a free subscription to its own streaming platform. Until April 16, new subscribers can enjoy a library of 100 million songs on Amazon Music Unlimited for three months without paying a penny.

This is the latest deal to drop ahead of the retail giant’s Spring Deal Days sale, which kicks off on March 25. Amazon Music Unlimited is a rival streaming service to Apple and Spotify that’s packed with the latest chart-toppers from Lady Gaga, Sabrina Carpenter and Sam Fender and timeless hits from Oasis, The Beatles and Bob Dylan.

Claiming the new deal allows members to listen to their favourite songs from these artists and countless more completely ad-free, with HD sound and spatial audio. Amazon says this is double the quality of standard quality streaming services, but there’s also more than seven million songs available in Ultra HD, which is said to be more than 10 times the quality of standard streaming.

The deal comes just in time for crafting the perfect playlist for the warmer weather without having to pay the usual subscriptions fees to Apple Music and Spotify, which would set you back £32.97 or £35.97 respectively for three months’ access. What’s more, an Amazon Music Unlimited subscription now comes with Audible at no extra cost.

Amazon is giving away three months free access to Amazon Music Unlimited with Audible until April 16.

This gives new subscribers millions of songs and one free audiobook every month free, for three months, saving more than £30.

This means members can choose one free audio book every month from best-sellers including Harry Potter, Stephen Fry and Harlan Coben. There’s also a raft of podcasts that can be enjoyed offline and ad-free whether listening at home or on-the-go with a smartphone, tablet or laptop.

Amazon Music Unlimited usually costs £11.99 for non-Prime members, but new subscribers can claim the three-months free deal here until 5pm on April 16. Customers should note that the subscription will automatically renew after the promotional period at the usual monthly price of £11.99 for non-Prime members or £10.99 for Prime members unless cancelled.

An Amazon Prime membership costs £8.99 a month or £95 a year after a 30-day free trial and also provides access to exclusive deals during the upcoming spring sale. But Amazon isn’t the only brand cutting its costs, as Sky Mobile offers high-spec headphones and earbuds to enhance their streaming without breaking the bank.

Shoppers can get Apple’s AirPods Pro 2 or Samsung’s Galaxy Buds3 Pro for £7 when spreading the cost.
