Amazon shoppers can bag an Echo Pop for less than £8 a day before Prime Day starts

The Echo Pop is Amazon’s most affordable smart speaker and it’s now even cheaper thanks to a new deal from TopCashback

Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days are around the corner, starting tomorrow, October 7. However, we’ve already found a way to get the cheapest price a day before the event even starts.

With a rare deal stack, shoppers can bundle Amazon’s Echo Pop price with a cashback offer. Usually retailing for £44.99, the Echo Pop has recently seen a price drop by Amazon ahead of its forthcoming Prime Deal Days event in October.

It’s now on sale for just £22.99, but savvy shoppers can shave off a bit more thanks to another deal from TopCashback. Customers who set up a brand new account with TopCashback will be rewarded with a £15 sign-up bonus. Once that cashback hits their account, the effective cost of the Echo Pop speaker drops to £7.49.

Despite being the most basic model in Amazon’s speaker range, the Echo Pop is still an incredibly capable device. With the Alexa voice assistant, you can use it to check the time, weather, and even control your smart home gadgets.

The devices come in a variety of colours, including Charcoal, White, Lavender and Teal. This means you can find a speaker that seamlessly blends into your home decor, reports the Manchester Evening News.

TopCashback is offering the Echo Pop for only £7.49 thanks to a new deal just before Prime Day.

The key distinction between the Pop and its pricier Echo counterparts lies in the sound quality, with the larger speakers emitting a slightly fuller sound. However, the Pop devices are perfectly capable of filling a small to medium-sized room with decent sound, making them perfect for bedrooms or kitchens.

How to get your £7.49 Echo Pop speaker

  • To claim the new member bonus, new members of TopCashback need to sign up via this link
  • Search for Amazon and click ‘Get Cashback Now’
  • Shop for the Echo Pop and check out as usual
  • Cashback will then track and appear in your TopCashback account within seven working days of your purchase

Those who don’t need the Amazon Alexa feature can get by with a more basic Bluetooth speaker. This one from Anker is proving popular with shoppers – it’s currently on sale from £39.99 down to £34.76. Another great option is the Soundcore 3, which has seen a huge discount of 38% over at Amazon. It’s now £34.76 instead of £55.99.

Reviewers have been utterly smitten with the Amazon Echo Pop, with one stating: “This is my first Alexa Smart Speaker, as I wanted it to link with my Blink doorbell. It does an excellent job with this, and I am also discovering the many other features it has.

The speaker produces a clear sound for its size, and it was very easy to set up. Another reviewer chimed in: “Bought this while on offer over Christmas, so far so good.

“Have it set up in conservatory, has dropped out a couple of times due to lack of signal, but not the fault of speaker. Unusual shape, would recommend.”

However, it’s worth noting that the Echo Pop hasn’t been a hit with everyone. One reviewer remarked: “A reasonable level of sound and volume yet basic voice functions often are misunderstood. Does not pair with Spotify very well as Bluetooth disconnects and connects, similar on SoundCloud, bias towards Amazon music.”
