The former kickboxing star has recently challenged Paul to a fight in the ring and is very much eager to go glove-to-glove with the YouTuber-turned-boxer
Andrew Tate has been texting Jake Paul’s manager as he attempts to put himself in pole position to fight the YouTuber.
The former kickboxing champion has recently challenged ‘The Problem Child’ to a fight in the ring and claims he would teach the YouTuber-turned-boxer a ‘lesson.’ During a recent episode of his podcast, Tate was asked if he would fight ‘The Problem Child. “There was a time when he (Jake Paul) and I were talking about fighting,” he said.
“I think if this arrest didn’t happen, it probably would have come to flourish. We will see what happens in the future, we will see perhaps, it’s possible, there’s nothing no, there’s nothing yes. We will see, I will skip this matrix attack and perhaps if he (Jake) needs to be taught a lesson, I will be the guy to teach him.”
Tate added: “Jake’s an okay guy. He’s putting boxing on the map to be fair to him. To be fair to the guy, he can sell tickets. I mean nobody, and this is with all due respect, should give a s*** about watching a 60-year-old fight a 27-year-old, but Jake can make them care. And, because he can make them care, he gets paid more than most boxers will ever make in their entire careers for one fight.”
Tate’s comments came just days after Paul defeated Tyson via unanimous decision at the AT&T Stadium in Texas last Friday. Despite dominating the heavyweight dust-up, ‘The Problem Child’ failed to land anything significant and was unable to put the 58-year-old away.
With Tate making the headlines for expressing his desire to take on Paul, Nakisa Bidarian has revealed the former kickboxing star has sent him messages over the last few days, but is unsure if the fight will take place. Speaking on The Ariel Helwani show, he said: “Love Andrew Tate. He’s a good man in many ways in terms of his desire to give back to the world and I don’t know where his head is at in life in terms of what he wants to do.”
When asked about the possibility of Paul and Tate fighting, he said: “I don’t know, Andrew has messaged me these past few days, we haven’t had that discussion to be honest with you. I’m not sure if that fight makes sense for Jake give where his career is at right now in terms of boxing and I’m not sure that fight transcends across… that fight for the young male demo, that’s a massive fight. We’ll just to spend some time with Jake and Andrew and see if that’s something they want to pursue.”
The win over Tyson extended Paul’s professional record to 11-1. Following the win over the former heavyweight world champion, ‘The Problem Child’ has now added to his stacked CV. In his career so far, the young American has defeated the likes of Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley, Nate Diaz and Ben Askren. Now, many fighters, including Daniel Dubois, have called out the 27-year-old for a fight inside the squared-circle.
