Anne-Marie, 34, and husband Slowthai, 30, have welcomed their second child to the world after the singer gave birth to their son just over a year after their daughter was born
Singer Anne-Marie has given birth to her second child with controversial rapper Slowthai. The duo have welcomed their baby boy, just over a year after the arrival of their daughter, Seven, in February 2024.
Anne-Marie, 34, and 30-year-old Slowthai – whose real name is Tyron Kaymone Frampton – have been married since 2022 and had regularly updated fans along the pregnancy journey. Today, Anne-Marie announced the happy news of her new arrival on Instagram.
She posted a string of photos – including adorable snaps of her newborn tot and her in labour – on her page and wrote in the caption: “Another beautiful little thing has entered our lives,” followed by a trio of red heart emojis before she added: “hello everyone” and ended the post with three sunshine emojis.
She had previously revealed the gender of their new baby on Capital Breakfast. As Anne-Marie sat down with Jordan North, Chris Stark and Sian Welby in April, she was asked if she knew what she was having.
An excited Sian asked: “Can you tell us?” Anne-Marie then answered: “Yeah, it’s a boy!” “That’s so exciting!” Chris said as Anne-Marie admitted she’s having one of each and “then I’m done.”
She even received an adorable onesie that said: “Mummy, I only listen to Capital Breakfast.” And she also joked at was difficult choosing their child’s name. Sian asked: “What is harder choosing a name for your children or your albums?”
Anne-Marie went on: “Probably choosing a name because Seven is so unique so we can’t just call him Barry. I don’t even know if it’s going to be the name because it’s so odd but we’ve got the name ***,” before the suggestion was bleeped out.
The singer, also revealed she had gestational diabetes during her pregnancy, telling the hosts she had to give up being vegetarian as her intense pregnancy gave her extreme cravings.
Earlier in her pregnancy, Anne-Marie opened up on having the “hardest year”. In an Instagram post in December last year, the Friends songstress reflected on 2024 as she looked back on the turbulent past 12 months.
She wrote: “2024 the most beautiful yet hardest year of our lives. God really tryina see how strong I am hahaha. I miss you all and I love you all more than you’ll ever know. I have SO MUCH for you in the new year that you’ll probably be sick of me (please don’t be) have the best break if you can and see you soon.”
