Paul was due to face lightweight world champion Gervonta Davis on Friday night but cancelled the bout when his opponent was accused of kidnap by his ex-girlfriend.
Anthony Joshua is finalising a deal to fight YouTuber Jake Paul before Christmas.
Paul was due to face lightweight world champion Gervonta Davis on Friday night but cancelled the bout when his opponent was accused of kidnap by his ex-girlfriend. Instead Paul, 28, will take on former two-time heavyweight ruler Joshua, 36, in Miami in December. The fight will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Joshua has not fought since he was badly knocked out by Daniel Dubois at Wembley last September. He sees the money-spinning clash with Paul as a tune-up for a clash with rival Tyson Fury next year. Paul has padded his record by fighting ex-MMA stars and his only recognisable opponent, Tommy Fury, handed the social media star his only defeat in 2023.
