Here’s why Apple shoppers may want to pick the now older 2023 iPhone 15 model, and save a huge £112
Overnight Apple has wowed fans of the brand with its newest iPhone 16 range as it unveils four swanky new handsets alongside two new Apple Watches and a welcomed AirPods4 launch. As fans revel about the all-new upgrades, some may be more swayed to Amazon’s offer.
As the new iPhone 16 launches at £799 for the smallest 128GB model, the Prime retailer has cut the price of the now ‘superseded’ iPhone 15. If you aren’t fussed about having the flashiest model its huge price cut may be for you.
Amazon has taken £112 off the standard 128GB iPhone 15 model with the cheapest £687 price on the Sierra Blue colour, a welcomed saving compared to its £799 usual rate. Other models in Yellow, Pink, Black and Green are also discounted but by not as much.

As the newest iPhone 16 range is launched, with pre-orders to go live in the UK from September 13 and in-store deals to follow closely behind, it’s not unusual to see a flurry of cheaper older models. This happened last year after the iPhone 15 as older iPhone 14 models dropped in price.
With more than £100 this iPhone 15 deal is certainly one to consider, however, it’s not the cheapest it’s been sold for on Amazon – as the site CamelCamelCamel shows. During its recent Prime Day Sale it sold for £629 but we expect it’s £112 saving to drop even further.
Another retail iPhone fans may want to check out is Mobiles.co.uk where the iPhone 15 model can be bought on a contract for £29.99 per month, and unlike Amazon, this isn’t just for the handset. For this price, you’ll also get 100GB of monthly data with iD Mobile.
Apple has also launched two surprise discounts on the iPhone 15 which now starts at £699 and an incredible £599 price on the 2022 iPhone 14. You can shop here.
If you didn’t want to scrimp on the now older iPhone 15 then there are a wave of upgrades to expect on the new models. As the Mirror’s Dave Snelling has recently highlighted, you’ll have to wait a few days until you can pre-order one of the new devices.
Reporting live from Apple’s Glowtime event in California, Dave said: “After weeks of rumours and endless speculation, Apple has finally lifted the lid on its next generation of smartphones which will be arriving in UK stores very soon.
“These devices all get faster processors, upgraded cameras and the addition of a Camera Control button on the side which helps you snap photos more easily. Both of these devices get the A18 processor which not only makes them so much faster and more efficient but also means they will be able to access Apple Intelligence when it arrives later this year.”

Opting for the cheaper iPhone 15 Amazon deal we’ve highlighted above comes with a cheaper price but its biggest downside is its slower speeds thanks to the older processor, a no-brainer.
Apple may be at the front of tech shoppers minds but rivals Samsung also have a rival ongoing deal, it’s not a new phone launch but it does have an ongoing freebie offer too good to ignore. Anyone who buys its S24 range of Galaxy phone will get a Chromebook laptop for free.
