Just weeks after the iPhone 17 launch, Apple is back with new additions to its MacBook and iPad series. On Wednesday (October 22), the tech giant launched the MacBook Pro M5 and iPad Pro M5.

Both devices are powered by Apple’s new M5 chip, the next-generation processor that makes them faster and more powerful than ever, alongside huge upgrades in AI performance. The gadgets are available to buy now from Apple and Amazon.

The MacBook Pro M5 512GB starts at £1,599, with the 11” iPad Pro 256GB and 13” iPad Pro 256GB coming in at £999 and £1,299 respectively. Apple’s Pro range comprises some of its most powerful and premium products, so many shoppers turn to monthly deals from the likes of Sky Mobile and O2 to help spread the cost, with prices starting at 90p per day.

We’ve taken a look at where to buy the new Apple devices, and pulled together our favourites here. From cost-splitting plans to upfront prices.

Sky Mobile

Sky’s launch prices start at £27 – equal to 90p per day – for the 11” iPad Pro M5, rising to £34 for the 13” iPad Pro M5. These are reasonable prices for the latest Apple device, but keep in mind they only include a small 100MB data allowance.

The same goes for Sky’s £35 MacBook Pro M5 plan, which also has a £7 upfront cost. These are great options for keeping costs down when planning to use the device only when connected to WiFi, but anyone wanting to use their iPad or MacBook on the go will want to upgrade to a Sky eSIM.

These range from 1GB for £5 to unlimited for £27, with the 50GB for £10 deal a great middle-of-the-road option. Also, while Sky’s contracts run for 48 months, customers do have the option to upgrade to a new device anytime from 36 months at no extra cost.

Another thing to consider here – and with all the monthly prices in our round-up – is that most providers increase their customers’ bills each year in an inflation-linked rise. This means the price when taking out a contract will go up every April.

EE

At first glance, EE’s iPad Pro plans appear incredibly pricey, but they’re actually quite competitive. The brand offers the 11” iPad Pro M5 for £89.92 on a 12-month plan, plus £120 up front, which works out the same price as buying upfront for £1,199.

There’s also plenty of flexibility as shoppers can choose to spread the cost from three to 48 months, with the latter costing £31.86 each month. Shoppers opting for the 13” iPad Pro M5 will pay £112.42, plus £120 upfront, on the 12-month plan.

These prices are for the device only without any mobile data, which is not good for anyone wanting to use their new gadgets away from WiFi. EE’s 24-month contracts, which also include mobile data, start at £67.50 (was £75) for the 5GB Essentials, all the way to £83.70 (was £92) for the Unlimited All Rounder – which also comes with a choice of Apple Music, Apple TV or Netflix Standard as an inclusive extra.

O2

O2 provides a number of pre-built plans for both iPad Pro M5 models, starting from £39.20 per month plus £20 upfront for the 11” iPad Pro M5 on a 1GB Classic Plan. Heavier users can opt for the 100GB Plus Plan for £51.20 per month and £20 upfront

The larger 13” iPad Pro M5 comes in at £45.60 per month and £20 upfront on the 1GB Classic Plan, while the 100GB Plus Plan costs £57.60 and £20 upfront. These also come with an O2 Extra, such as Disney+ or Amazon Prime, free for up to six months.

Each of these 48-month contracts comprises of an airtime plan – providing the data allowance – and the device plan, which unlink after 24 months. At this point, customers can keep both running as they are, or choose to cancel or change the airtime plan, essentially providing a big price cut for the remainder of the contract for those who don’t need any mobile data.
