Aldi Scotland ‘launches’ canned Scottish tap water
Aldi Scotland is embracing the growing demand for low alcohol products, as it ‘launches’ its latest innovation – 100% canned Scottish tap water.
‘Taps Aff’ will hit the shelves from today (April 1) providing wellness-obsessed Scots with a thirst-quenching alternative which is packed with Scottish minerals and natural benefits.
Distilled using only 100% Scottish tap water, the canned drink celebrates Scotland’s long-held position as the world’s greatest tap water producer. While its name pays homage to the popular Scots phrase, used in rare celebrations of good weather.
Scotland’s water is harvested from the beautiful rivers, streams and lochs which are prominent throughout the country. It is naturally soft and has a distinctively smooth taste, making it incredibly popular with people worldwide.
Graham Nicolson, Group Buying Director, Aldi Scotland, said:“We know Scotland has the purest tap water in the world, and with buying trends indicating a move towards low-alcohol drinks, this felt like a great opportunity to go with the flow and turn on the tap for a new Scottish innovation.
“When talking of something truly extraordinary you often hear people say – ‘if you could only bottle it’ – well we have! Taps Aff is exactly what is says on the tin: pure, refreshing Scottish tap water.
“Taps Aff launches on April 1, and we are confident that every drop will leave customers fully hydrated.”
