With the price of brand new video games inching towards the £80 mark, gaming is fast becoming a pricey pastime. That’s why it’s crucial for gamers to jump on a good deal when they spot one, and there’s currently a huge sale at Argos.

Argos is offering two Nintendo Switch games for just £20 each on a select range of titles. This already tempting offer can be slashed even further to £4.75 for two games when using a deal from TopCashback , or a mere £2.39 each.

Customers who register with TopCashback via our unique link will receive an extra £15 cashback on selected purchases over £20. The two-game bundle at Argos qualifies for this deal, meaning gamers can bag a game for £2.37 each.

Only a handful of titles are included in the two for £20 bundle. Gaming fan and tech writer, Joshua Boyles rounded up all of the top choices now available for less, which readers can see below.

Shoppers who sign up to TopCashback using our unique link will be rewarded with £15 additional cashback on select purchases over £20. Which is what cuts the price of the Nintendo games.

The price below is after cashback.

Highlighting the deals for the Manchester Evening News, there are lots of options for all gamers, from Dinsney and Cars3 to Mario and Assasins Creed games.

Cars 3

Disney movie enthusiasts and racing game fans alike will adore this video game version of Cars 3, which allows players to take the wheel as Lightning McQueen himself. They’ll compete in races while honing the skills needed to defeat rival Racer Jackson.

Gamers can participate in six different game modes, all involving high-speed driving. There are ample opportunities to catch some air, with the cars able to perform a host of tricks, stunts and barrel rolls for bonus points.

While this title may be a bit too casual for the more hardcore racing game enthusiasts, it’s perfect for youngsters aged seven and above looking for some affordable fun this summer.

Rayman Legends Definitive Edition

Rayman, the iconic star of the 2D platforming genre, shines in one of his best adventures yet with Rayman Legends. This Definitive Edition repackages the highly-rated Wii U game for the Nintendo Switch, fully utilising the rumble pads in each controller.

The game also supports local multiplayer, allowing a mate to join in using a secondary Switch controller, with support for up to four players. For those who prefer touchscreen controls, the game can be played entirely using just the Switch’s touchscreen.

Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Trilogy

The Assassin’s Creed series is not lacking in entries, but the games featuring Ezio as the lead character are still considered some of the best in the franchise. Transporting the player back to Venice, Rome and even Constantinople during the Italian Renaissance period, these games allow you to parkour across the rooftops of ancient monuments for a bit of digital sightseeing while immersing yourself in the gripping narrative.

This title offers particularly good value as gamers essentially get three games in one with Assassin’s Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed Revelations.

The Smurfs Mission Vileaf

A treat for the younger audience, The Smurfs Vilef is a 3D platformer that lets players step into the shoes of one of four classic Smurfs: Smurfette, Hefty, Brainy, and Chef. They’ll need to leap across platforms and solve puzzles to thwart the evil wizard Gargamel’s latest toxic plant scheme.

The game’s blurb suggests it’s easy for newcomers to get the hang of, hinting that this could be a brilliant game for young gamers still mastering 3D character controls. It’s suitable for ages three and up.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope isn’t your run-of-the-mill Mario game with Nintendo’s iconic character teaming up with Ubisoft’s Rabbids for a quirky and delightful adventure. It borrows gameplay mechanics from strategy games, with the player guiding a selection of characters as they traverse a battlefield to strategically eliminate opponents.

As such, it’s a much slower paced, more thoughtful way to play a Mario game, but still enjoyable all the same. If you’re after something a bit different to play on your Nintendo Switch, this would be a great game to take a punt on.

Overcooked! 2

Gamers who relish playing games in co-op with their loved ones can’t go wrong with Overcooked! 2, despite the fact that it’s likely to spark disputes. In this frantic title, each player takes control of a chef with the aim of cooking and serving as many food orders as possible within a certain time limit.

As the game progresses, the difficulty increases with levels shifting around and chefs having limited access to specific ingredients. This results in a frantic ballet as players must co-ordinate to pass ingredients, utilise various appliances, all while keeping pace with a relentless conveyor belt of new orders.

It’s equally enjoyable and stressful, making it a perfect buy for couples.

How to get two Nintendo Switch games for £4.75 at Argos

  2. Search for Argos and click ‘Get Cashback Now’.
  3. Shop and checkout as usual.
  4. Cashback will then track and appear in your TopCashback account within 7 working days of your purchase. The cashback will become payable (and available to withdraw and spend) after Wowcher has paid TopCashback the commission for your purchase.
