Arsenal set price for summer transfer exit as star changes agent after previous rejection

Arsenal could yet allow Leandro Trossard to move on from the Emirates despite rejecting an offer from Saudi Arabia last summer as the Belgian changes his agent

Arsenal would consider offloading Leandro Trossard if they received a bid of around £17million, according to reports. The Belgian is being linked with the exit door as the Gunners plot their summer movement.

Trossard has proved to be a shrewd signing since arriving from Brighton in January 2023. But as Mikel Arteta prepares his side for a fourth tilt at the Premier League title, the versatile frontman may be allowed to seek pastures new.

The ex-Seagull has operated across the front three but the Gunners are firmly in the market for a No.9. Alongside that they want to land a wide forward, leading to their interest in the likes of Nico Williams. That would bolster a squad that is already packed with talent.

Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Ethan Nwaneri and Trossard are all vying for starting berths when fit and the competition could yet increase further. The Belgian is now 30 and the eldest of all the options currently at the Emirates.

He is also entering the final year of his contract in north London and Sky Sports in Switzerland report that Arsenal will entertain his exit for the right price with new club chief Andrea Berta now conducting proceedings.

There had been talk of a contract extension and initial discussions took place in October 2024 with the former Gunners sporting director, Edu Gaspar, before his deputy Jason Ayto took those on, but no agreement has been reached.

Trossard’s recent split from his agent Josy Comhair sparked speculation he was preparing for an exit, but the two were not directly linked. The Belgian has now signed with German-based DH Sports and Entertainment Agency, but Mirror Football understands Trossard mutually agreed to part company with long-standing representative Comhair, who is battling health problems.

Last summer Arsenal fended off interest from Saudi Arabia for the versatile forward. Al Ittihad made an initial loan offer with an obligation to buy that would eventually have been worth up to £25m, but the Gunners made it clear that Trossard was not for sale at any price.

That stance may now have changed, especially with new faces potentially arriving in north London. Arsenal have recently expressed their interest in Noni Madueke, who could be allowed to leave Chelsea and head across the capital.
