Arsenal look set to continue with a busy transfer window and will attempt to make another signing after securing a deal for striker Viktor Gyokeres in the coming days
Arsenal have been busy in the transfer market and are showing few signs of slowing down. Andrea Berta’s first summer as sporting director has been one with plenty of activity as the Gunners look to set themselves up for a title charge.
Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard and Noni Madueke have already arrived through the door in north London. But it was a goalscorer Mikel Arteta really wanted to add to his arsenal.
Viktor Gyokeres has finally been confirmed as that man. The Sweden international scored 54 goals for Sporting last term and is Arsenal’s newest signing.
But the Gunners’ business may not end there. More arrivals could await while the futures of players such as Oleksandr Zinchenko and Reiss Nelson must still be resolved.
Mirror Football takes a look at the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding the Emirates.

Talks opened
Gabriel Jesus has been the subject of an approach from Brazilian side Flamengo. The Brazilian forward constinues to recover from injury but could yet find a loan offer, with option to buy, being made for his services, per RTI Esporte.
Talks were initially instigiated with Jesus and now Flamengo are preparing a proposal after being given a positive indication by the player. The South American giants are said to be willing to offer a 50/50 salary split during the loan spell.
Quick transfer
Arsenal are aiming to make a quick move to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace after completing the deal for Viktor Gyokeres. The Independent reports those close to the player are confident a deal will be done in the coming weeks, and that Arsenal are Eze’s top choice.
The Gunners want to agree a transfer fee of £60m, less than the reported £68m release clause. No formal communication has taken place over a deal but both clubs are set to be flexible it is said.
Arsenal would prefer to sell a player before landing Eze but it is not believed to be a requirement.
Arsenal U-turn
Leandro Trossard and Oleksandr Zinchenko are set remain at Arsenal according to reports. Both players looked set to depart the Emirates but Mikel Arteta wants the duo to remain for at least one more year.
Trossard, 30, has been in contract discussions with Arsenal since the beginning of the year but has seen links to Saudi Arabia. The Belgian star is said to have been offered an extension without a pay increase which stalled negotiations but a compromise is now said to be close.
Zinchenko meanwhile was said to have asked to explore potential transfers earlier this summer. The Ukraine star is claimed to have seen a number of conversations with Arteta that have convinced him to stay.
