Arsenal have completed the signing of Eberechi Eze after agreeing a £67.5million deal for the England star with more transfer activity in the pipeline ahead of next week’s deadline
Arsenal took their summer spending past the £260million mark this weekend with the capture of Ebere Eze from Crystal Palace – but Mikel Arteta and Co may not be done just yet.
Eze, 27, will add another dimension to Arsenal’s attack after agreeing to link up with his boyhood club over their north London rivals, Tottenham. And he should join a team brimming with confidence after they put five goals past Leeds on Saturday to chalk up back-to-back wins.
A knee injury sustained by Kai Havertz drove Arsenal back to the negotiating table for Eze after showing interest in the England star earlier this summer. More incomings and outgoings are expected before the transfer deadline next week, too, with Arteta hinting as much after watching his side win in style at The Emirates.
Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest transfer news as we enter the final week of the summer transfer window…

Arteta drops signing hint
Mikel Arteta refused to shut down the possiblity of further incomings after watching Arsenal finalise a deal to poach Ebere Eze from Tottenham’s grasp.
The Gunners have shelled out more than £67m to bring Eze back to the club he left as a teenager. He follows other big money signings through the door. But speaking over the weekend, he said: “We are all with big smiles on our faces, understanding that we have done really well, but the market is not closed.
“We have to stay very alert because there are a lot of things that can happen. But, so far so good.”
Gunners agree record deal
Arsenal are poised to make Victor Ozhianvuna the most expensive League of Ireland player in history after agreeing a deal to sign the talented 16-year-old midfielder from Shamrock Rovers.
Despite his age, Ozhianvuna is already a first-team player in Ireland. And his potential has caught the eye of Arsenal, who will pay a sum higher than the league record £1.6m that Tottenham shelled out for Mason Melia earlier this year to sign him, per The Athletic.
Ozhianvuna will sign a pre-contract with Arsenal before linking up with the club officially in January 2027, when he turns 18.
Real plot Jacquet swoop
Real Madrid are the latest club to be credited with an interest in Rennes’ highly-rated young defender, Jeremy Jacquet.
The impressive centre-back, 20, has admirers across Europe and beyond including Arsenal. But reports from Europe claim that Real Madrid and Al-Hilal of the Saudi Pro League also want to sign Jacquet.
