Asos launches new delivery service in first for UK as part of major shake-up

By staff12 May 2025No Comments4 Mins Read

The service allows ASOS customers to select InPost Lockers at checkout as their primary out-of-home (OOH) delivery option – so shoppers don’t have to wait in

ASOS has launched the UK’s first nationwide next-day delivery service to 16,000 lockers across the country. The global online retailer has launched the lockers in partnership with logistics firm InPost.

The service allows ASOS customers to select InPost Lockers and parcel shops at checkout as their primary out-of-home (OOH) delivery option. This means if a shopper is not able to be at home for their clothing delivery, then they can have it delivered to a self-service InPost locker instead.

To use an InPost locker, you receive a notification with a QR code or a delivery code once your parcel is ready. You can then scan the QR code or enter the code at the locker, and the door will open for you to retrieve or deposit your package.

Alongside this, the retailer’s Premium Members are eligible for the option free of charge. Asos and Inpost says the move aims to boost convenience and flexibility for shoppers.

The move comes just weeks after InPost snapped up courier firm Yodel. This made InPost the third-largest logistics firm in the UK and allowed it to “significantly expand” its locker-to-door and last-mile delivery capabilities.

InPost lockers are available at local supermarkets, train stations, or convenience stores, with the majority of them open 24/7. To find your closest InPost locker, enter your postcode on the InPost finder website. You can also use the lockers for returns.

After reporting an official return through the retailer you have purchased from, you can choose to have the parcel picked up from an InPost locker. When you’ve chosen the locker, all you need to do is scan the QR code for the delivery, choose the size of the compartment you need, place your parcel inside and close the door.

Neil Kuschel, UK CEO, InPost, said: “This launch is a game changer for out-of-home delivery in the UK. By introducing the first nationwide next-day locker service, we’re setting a new standard for delivery. ASOS is the perfect partner to launch with – a brand that shares our commitment to innovation and putting customers first.”

David Flavell, director of delivery solutions, ASOS, added: “We know that customers come to ASOS for the latest fashion when they want it.

“Adding InPost’s extensive network of over 16,000 lockers and parcel shops to our offering, with a next day delivery, gives customers even more choice and convenience in how they get the fashion they love. We’re delighted to have InPost as our exclusive locker partner”
